I would break out a lot and completely changed my diet for a month. I laid off chips, candy, popcorn (even the "healthy" snacks) and only ate fruits, veggies, rice, chicken and my acne cleared up big time. Great video, I love when you show your workouts. You have come a long way since you consistently started working out, your body changed in a positive way. 🖤

I had adult acne all the way into my mid 20's, like really bad, and as someone else said, birth control was a life saver. As long as you're aware of the possible long term affects from using it. I've had a hysterectomy because of cancer and am on hormone replacement now, and still don't have too much of a problem now, most of what pops up is my own fault from going for my face, haha

I have acne prone skin (very oily in my T zone, dry on my cheeks). Cystic acne around my period. You would never know it because I am ruthless with my routine - Salicylic acid in the morning and Retinol at night. Adult acne requires a simple but very consistent routine. I use argan oil if I need moisture because it doesn't break me out. Good luck in finding the routine that works for your acne.
@christinawilson80854 жыл бұрын
With hormonal acne like you probably have tried most of this but I found simplifying my routine and only using really a gentle milky cleanser, lactic acid, niacinamide serum and a super basic moisturizer and obvs SPF like helped a bunch especially the serum. But mostly cutting back dairy and sugar helped the most. I know it sucks but at least it's not cystic.

Hi Chelsea! I started breaking out last year especially once I got into working out! I read it was sweat getting into my pores while I work out since my face gets hot. So before starting my workout I’d clean my face with a baby wipe and during my workout I’d dry off with a hand towel! After my workout I rinsed and then wiped my face with a baby wipe again. I’m not exaggerating when I say within 2 weeks my face started clearing up! I hope that works for you! I also started exfoliating with frank body cream scrub because our dead skin gets in those pores too

Hey Chelsea love your videos! I struggle with acne too I see you eat healthy for the most part and avoid dairy and that isn’t cutting it for your skin I find what helps my skin the most is getting my gallon of water in and taking alani nu balance pills I’ve also trained my skin to not need face moisturizer (I just use an under eye cream) and top it off with a facial spray and the biggest thing for me was my transition from using bath cloths to dry my face to a clean paper towel each time best of luck in finding what helps your skin 💕

Try “the ordinary” they have some really good and inexpensive retinol. I would mix a few drops in your moisturizer at night, and use every other night. Then simultaneously on other days use a vitamin C serum. Don’t use both on same day, do every other day (causes a chemical reaction if so). That will improve your skins texture, decrease sebum production (therefore less acne/blackheads), and cause scars to fade. I would look into skin care layering as well. It changed my skin!!

@susigonzo19865 жыл бұрын
@@ChelseaTrevor what helps a lot is is Retin-A for acne I know it's advertised mostly for wrinkles and such but it speeds the process of shedding your skin and and no letting your pores get oil build up, if it's a hormonal imbalance I would look into natural acne vitamin pills like zinc and some teas.. Aloe vera plant masks are the best as well, it smells but it's amazing and you mentioned you have some scars left behind and hyperpigmentation a mask of turmeric powder helps so much..
@11nica55 жыл бұрын
Pls do research on acutane it’s an off label drug for acne. It’s a chemo (as in cancer) drug that destroys the liver.
@susigonzo19865 жыл бұрын
If you decide to take accutane, your dermatologist will monitor you very closely with blood work done every month to check your liver. If you read up on it, of course it will talk about "potential" side effects that scare off a lot of people but like I mentioned before, I took it x 5 months and had no issues whatsoever.

Chiming in one the acne topic. As a couple ladies have already mentioned, accutane is a god sent. It's definitely not for everyone, that's forsure, and it's hell to be on. I used I about 8 years ago for six months. I had acne very similar to yours with very noticeable scarring and it took it all away. I do find that when I do break out the less I do, the better. A very gentle soap and moisturizer. Also, witch hazel for when my skin looks irritated.

Hey sweetheart! You are gorgeous even with a little acne🦋 I know you want to wait to see if your acne will clear bc of birth control before you go for accutane, but I hate seeing how much it bothers you and affects your confidence🥺 Maybe it’s time to consider? I’ve had friends that went on it in high school and college bc of persistent acne and they wanted to prevent further scaring. Tbh.. it was a game changer for them. Yes, their skin was a bit dry for a little while, but in the long run it was the right choice. I tend to lean more towards natural approaches, but sometimes our bodies need a little help from western medicine. Either way... just want to see you happy! Much love👼🏼

You should try to keep it very simple and stick to the same products for at least 6 weeks (i know you're probably sent a lot of pr package and stuff so you try a lot of different products but maybe that's why your skin doesn't really improve).
