Another great video. I use the Hanna Phosphate ULR and Nitrate HR and I love them both. I have considered getting the Hanna Alk test. Currently using the Red Sea Test, and I like it too. Quick and easy. One thing I saw in the video was that you were filling the cuvette with water to the 10 mL mark on the cuvette. I'm unsure if you noticed this, but that line is off compared to what 10 mL actually is in a syringe. I now use the measurement from my syringe to measure out 10 mLs to get the most accurate results possible. Thought I'd share. Keep it up!

I use the Hannah copper test for accurate quarantining and love it. Out of curiosity, why rinse the vial with tap water if you’re just going to rinse with RO/DI after? Couldn’t that potentially introduce other contaminants that could mess with the test? Or at a minimum, sort of be a waste of time if RO rinse is after?
@BlueReefTank3 жыл бұрын
Good point! The reason I rinse with tap water first is because I don't have much RODI left at the time so I have to conserve it haha But yes you're right, should've just rinse with RODI :D

I like my Hanna phosphate LR for its accuracy, but use Salifert for everything else. It’s still quick and easy (I like them way better than my last Red Sea foundations kit) but most importantly- cheap. I find myself rarely using my Hanna checker because the reagents are expensive 😳 still, you can’t really beat a digital reading can you! No ambiguity.
