Angela, You're so talented in the arts. The quilts are lovely. I've only taken that project on 1 time for my granddaughter. I never did take a picture of it now. I wish I would have. I just love quilts, never made one, but can appreciate the work that goes into making one. Nice to see you and Jamie playing on the bed. LOL My favourite one is the moose one. I think they are coming back in style, however not made with the same love, blood sweat and tears, most now, although beautiful too, are made by a machine.

Hi Angela and Jamie! Your quilts are absolutely beautiful! In fact, everything you have sewn and crocheted are out of this world! I wish you could have opened up a shop with all the things you have sewn and crocheted throughout the years and called it something like “Angela’s Quilt Cottage and Sewing Basket!”. You are so very talented! I love all your videos and listening to all your stories! I have learned so much by watching and I thank you so much for that! You and Jamie are so down to earth people and I love the way you two met by answering his personal ad! You are a match made from Heaven and God made sure he was going to bound the two of you together! I also love listening to all of Jamie’s stories as well because he’s also highly intelligent! I know you love Jamie with all your heart and soul and wouldn’t trade him for the world! I’ve been a widow going on 17 years this October. My husband was killed in a car wreck and I never remarried! He was the love of my life! ❤️ You have such wonderful children and grandchildren and when you speak of them I can always see that twinkle in your eyes! I must say you are one of the best mothers and grandmothers anyone could ever ask for! They are so blessed to have you! I have two sons who treats me very very well and three grandchildren. 2 boys and one girl. My sons and grands are my life! I wish I had just a fourth of your energy! I will turn 65 on May 23rd and you could run circles around me but then again I am disabled and have severe crippling rheumatoid arthritis so that has slowed me down tremendously! I use to be busy as a bee like you are all the time but not anymore and it upsets me because I’m just not mobile enough to do much of anything! I loved to go shopping all the time and loved decorating my home but I’m to the point to where I can’t do those things anymore but I thank God that he wakes me up every morning to see another day! I will be looking forward to watching more of your videos because you make me laugh with that great humor you have and I enjoy listening to whatever topic you decide to talk about! Take care! Angela you did a great job in making all those quilts. I remember my granny making me what she called a half quilt when I was a young girl. I lost that quilt in a fire. Wish I had that quilt. I still have and cherish the quilt my Aunt gave me before she passed. I cherish it so much. I am 54 yrs old now and received it when I was about 20 yrs old. That same Aunt years before she passed had been in two different bad car accidents and due to her leg being broke she had one leg shorter than the other and had a shoe cobbler put a thicker sole on the shorter side. I remember that big sole on one shoe. Jamie's Dad had a great idea n fixing his. I really enjoyed your and Jamie's talk today.

I thought it was so sweet when you were on the bed and Jamie laid down, and said you were still his number one🎉. I used to have quilts at the house but when I got divorced my husband took them with him because they came from his family. I hung one on the wall that was beautiful behind our bed! I live in a town in Pennsylvania where they have a Kutztown folk festival every year. They take their quilts there and they show them and they win prizes they are also for sale they are very pricey because it takes a lot to make them. A lot of them are very beautiful summer made by the Amish and summer made by the Mennonites. But you and Jamie make such a good couple. I also watched Jamie's KZbin video and it was very interesting, I thought that it was nice that Jamie helped you put that mattress topper on your bed. I live in Canyon Lake, Texas. It's about an hour from Austin, Texas. There are so many homeless people there. They had streets and streets in the middle of the road that separated each side, they all lived there and the city had put a porta potty there because they all just kept using the bathroom everywhere. we had a big ice storm a couple years ago and Texas couldn't handle it because they didn't have trucks, salt/sand, and the power went out. It was horrible. I'm from Iowa and I remember growing up with my dad and we were homelss in a broke down van. A quilt would have been great for that. I remember so many blizzards. But I would never choose to live another way because it made my dad and me even closer. I learned a lot growing up the way I did.

I love love love quilts! My MIL was an excellent seamstress/sewing pro and one time she surprised my husband and my son with jeans (made with real jeans) quilts! I have them in my closet but one needs a new backing. I’m clueless on how to make quilts and have no idea how to fix the one that needs it. I really want to have a quilt made from my LH’s tshirts, just waiting to find someone who wants to do it for me. 😜 Yes I love how much the Mormons help people! We’ve been helped by the food program (from our local temple) quite a few times. Your quilts are beautiful Angela❣️❣️❣️❣️that big denim one wow! I love the rag quilt look! You say they’re not very pretty but people like me, who love quilts, think they are beautiful❤ I love how you did the front and the back of that bear quilt!!! I just bought a big foam mattress topper for my bed and it took me and two of the girls to carry and maneuver it-whew😅 I love family heirlooms and it’s mostly the reason my kids think I’m a hoarder!😂 Haha I love how Jamie said “if you could see it outside, I’d fix it!” Out of sight out of mind. How sweet he says “I still love you so much!” ❤❤❤

I am a quilter too, and ran one of the first internet quilting supply shops. It was great back in the day. Retired now, but still do smaller projects. Love your quilts. 😊👋 I understand why in your area there is not a direct need for quilts and I do know shipping quilts to overseas areas has stopped for the reasons you mentioned. I no longer want to be bent over a quilt for hours so I make small projects. I have made seasonal table dressings, placemats, wall hangings, hot pot pads. I donate smaller items to fundraisers in my area. The women's shelter can use quilts from time to time. We also have a project for Grandma's who are raising their grandchildren for various reasons, and I like to donate to them as well. We live by the ocean in Comox, Vancouver Island, Canada and we are finding there is more and more need for people. And as Jamie rightly pointed out, we do have homeless because the climate is milder here, and they camp out in tents all year round. Having said all that, I do concentrate more on family now, and my one and only Grandbaby girl. As for sewing clothes, I still like to make summer T-shirts, linen tops etc for myself as I have drafted my own patterns and I like the way mine fit. Fabric costs a fortune now and it really doesn't make any economic sense, Do you have a food drying set up with your church. We have one here, where we cut, dry food from our gardens to make up soup packages etc. that are sent to disasters etc. Soup being the easiest thing to make.

Oh wow! You are talented as well. What great things you still make. I don’t do quilts because Angela made some of my kids quilts and they didn’t treasure them. So I don’t want to go to all that work and find them being used as a dog blanket. lol So I do some food drying. I love doing it. But I can’t grow much food we have too many deer. I wish I could grow a garden.

@@karolynpieren5129 We lived, and do live in area where gardens, fruit trees etc are plentiful. So there are some "gleaners" as we call them, that collect food to dry, and people drop off surplus food from their gardens. So it works here. And, of course the food bank will take some fresh during growing season that are "add ons" to a standard hamper of food, that people can help themselves to. A local bakery drops off day old bread if it isn't sold. So that is a big help for people coming for food.

I had a humpback trunk full of quilts and when I got flooded all the colors of the quilts bled together and the trunk was soaked so I lost them. Yes fabric/material is so expensive these days! You should do what Angela has done and go to used stores, use old sheets, pillow cases etc. that way you can get martial for way cheaper and try your hand at quilt making.
