My grandmother and the old lady who lives next door to her for 40+ years would often do gardening in their backyards, they had the same name. So one would say to the other "Hello Joan" and get the same answer "Hello Joan"... The neighbour would always put out seeds and the ends of loaves of bread and whatnot and there would always be a huge flock of Cockatoo's. That was more than 25 years ago, but all the cockatoo's in the area will still say "hello joan" back to you if you say it to them. I still miss her.

Sunflower seeds, perhaps? I am not an expert, but I repeatedly heard that most of processed humsn food like bread or bisketts is harmful to wild birds. It is addictive, true, they won't stop begging for it. I've seen other videos where cockatoos also eat fruit, which was a surprise to me. I have never seen a bird with a taste for apples in my area. My guests come exclusively for sunflower seeds. It feels like they can eat half of their body weight of that stuff in one sitting. Try offering that to your guest.
