I remember the flood of 1974. The water was as high as the main street bridge pretty much. A sight I'll never forget.

High but nothing crazy yet. I've seen it come within a foot of the concession street bridge. If you look at the center pillar on the main st bridge, you should still be able to see the scars from all the debris that washed down in the last flood.

We live on the Missouri river. We've had years where the flooding is extensive but we have plans for it. Is this the type of food you have every once in awhile or is this one a abnormal flood that your area hasn't seen before?

After the flood of 1974, Cambridge has done some prevention measures over the years, in 74 the water was so high it covered a large portion of the downtown core and was above the bridge. There is some photos online and I'm sure some video of it as well.

Be careful around that water people under currents are very strong and watch your dogs around that water also.

Hopefully the tributaries associated with this river are being monitored by local authorities for overflow and will warn communities before the additional water arrives and potentially floods the area.
