I made Hijrah to Morocco 8 years ago and this was my children's first school. It has been a more Islamic School than what we would have found in UK but we have now found a school not far away that focuses on Quran and we no no longer attend this school, however it could still be a good transitional step when moving to Morocco from Europe / UK. I will release a new video about the Quran school soon inShaAllah!
Regarding getting a job, the most convenient option I found is an online teaching job with EF English LIVE because you can open and close your availability as it suits you. In Morocco, as in all countries, it takes time to adapt. If you stay for a while, you'll eventually adapt. Admittedly, not everything is as organised, as clean or as fast as in the UK Admittedly, some of the population has a tendency to westernise (part of the bourgeoisie who idealise the West too much). But Morocco does have some advantages over the UK (or USA): - Women can wear the hijab without risk (and men can wear quamis) and without risking a racist attack. - There are more mosques (with adhan) - religion is easier to practise (halal meat, Ramadan, eid festivals, etc.) - Life is cheap for a European. - it's a safer country (of course, there are bad people in Morocco, as there are everywhere). - Unlike some Western countries, some bad things will never be taught to your children in school, even private schools, and you'll never see anything weird in administrative papers (like "gender indeterminate", "parent 1", "parent 2" for g*y couples...). And a child will never say to your child: "I've got two dads or two mums’’ ! - There is much less tax than in some European countries. - There's more sunshine than in the UK. -... Prefer Casablanca or Marrakech if you like city life. In the beginning that can be quite difficult but over Time , In the long run, you will see that the advantages of living in Morocco outweigh the disadvantages. I'd be happy if he could see this comment and reply to me! (Please like)

Assalamu alaikum brother JazakAllahu khairan for sharing this video with us. I have to say that I am leaning on bringing my family to Fez now just to go to this school. My plan is to move within a year or two inshaAllah. By then my kids would be around 8,7, and 3 inshaAllah. My wife is Moroccan, from el jadida, we love it there but for the kids we are looking for a suitable school for them inshaAllah. Whats the name of this school?

Assalamualaikum brother. Your video is quite informative. Zajhakallahu khairan. Can u pls help by inform me the list of cities of morocco where this type of ISLAMIC BRITISH CuRRICULUM school is ? Or any other curriculum but islamic english medium?
@QuranHomeschool
@QuranHomeschool 8 ай бұрын
All cities have these types of schools because the system follows the national curriculum. All schools in Morocco require Islamic Studies to be part of the education. In terms of an Islamic Environment though, the quieter villages are better than the busier or more modern cities

Salaam, thank you for this video very informative. Do you think a young child from the UK who only speaks English struggle in a school such as this or are the teachers able to accommodate for a child who is learning Arabic as they go?
@QuranHomeschool
@QuranHomeschool 2 жыл бұрын
Wa Alaikum Assalam! I think the younger the child is the easier it will be (especially pre school which is a very easygoing and relaxed atmosphere) but even for ages 7+ you could consider enrolling them in the last year of pre school for one year just to get their language skills up to speed a bit . So overall I think it would definitely be an adjustment for a child who doesn’t know Arabic (or French) but this type of school setting and immersion is the best way to pick up the language for kids in my opinion . How old is the child you’re thinking of?

As-salaam alaikum wa rahmatullah. We are planning on staying in Morocco (Northern region) for a few months over the summer period insha'Allah before making our official move insha'Allah. Do you know if there are any Arabic, Qur'an and Islamic Studies programmes for children during this time? I understand schools will be on a summer break but was wondering if there are learning centres or institutes where children can also learn. Do you know of other ways children can improve their Arabic and Qur'an whilst in Morocco for a short period? JazaakAllahu khair
@QuranHomeschool
@QuranHomeschool 3 ай бұрын
Wa Alaikum Assalam I am sorry about the late reply I would recommend trying to start a routine of completing the Quran once a month at home - and when you come to Morocco you can benefit from the group recitation of half a juz after Fajr and half a juz after Maghrib I dont have any particular knowledge of institutions I'm afraid but wherever you go, you are bound to find plenty of private Arabic teachers who could come and give lessons inShaAllah

JazakAllahukhairan for the video Sameer. Would the £50-£80 be International private schools?
@QuranHomeschool
@QuranHomeschool Жыл бұрын
No unfortunately international private schools are usually much more expensive - perhaps double? For younger children the normal Moroccan schools are better I think -as they are less affected by the western model of civilization and the pop culture/fitna that can come with it. But as the kids get older and need to think about GcSES etc perhaps some international school opions could be better

wa alaikum assalam brother - It will be easier for the 7 and 4 year olds to adapt as they can pick up Arabic and French and start in year 1 or preschool - but for the 12 and 11 year olds it might be difficult as the education system is in french or arabic - There would be private schools which use the western system and perhaps the English language but I dont know about any in particular Before you decide on any country or location just visit first for a short family holiday and you will be able to get a more accurate idea inshaAllah

Wa Alaykum Assalam brother. Initially I worked as an English teacher in a language center and they offered me a work permit, but I actually didn't need that because I am married to a Moroccan so I got my residence permit based on my marriage. So your options are either getting a job, getting married or just applying for a visitor visa to begin with
