All these hatefull comments because of what? Marocco is one of the most diverse and cultural country in the world! They have the spices, the food is rich in flavor (while having a dry wether most of the time). They have amazing architecture in every city different. You can go to the Sahara you can go to the beach and have amazing fish or go skieeng. I only smell jelousy. Dont be scared the west has also occupied this country, although the morrocans have it back , there is still a few places that is now property of the French and spanish. I guess they thought marocco was that beautifull and worth alot... Or are you hating because this beauty is filled with muslims? Westerns need to get over themselves fast! Anyone of you who thinks whatever Marrakesh has to offer as depicted in the video above, beginning with the people, the culture itself, even the food; all of these are factory recipes to attract tourists, selling the exotic and the mystery kind of air to you so you bring more dollars and Euros whatever. However, if you are a true traveler and an honest person seeking the knowledge and the understanding of other cultures, then you will truly look throughout other perspectives, visit cities around the country, go to the Rif cities, the Orient like Nador, Oujda.. find out about the true versions of the Moroccan cultures and the best way to it is the AMAZIGH culture, that have been in Morcco even before the Arab invasion, before the Ottoman Empire and the fall of Andalusia civilization. You will get to see thinks beyond what your eyes could see, beyond your active senses, use your mind and soul to seek the right knowledge. Having a misrepresented Image of the country, though not only your faults (tourists), but also ours, the people. However, I think you guys owe it to yourselves and the people of this country to truly find out about who we truly are and the best way to do it, is invest your time to research more the country and have a plan. Trust me, the country has more to offer than just some spices and green tea in the market for you to buy... Though some may do so, but i truly know nobody who does where I come from. An other fact about the food, our Moroccan cuisine, is entirely worships sanitary (hygene) or whatever it is called, we do not touch things with our faces while preparing stuff, there is no way that we would expose something cooked in oil to open locations, OIL catches dust and so many other microbes etc. Tea, it is not how we make it at all, I mean I admit there are many different and diverse ways every region of morocco prepares it differently but we do have to wash the mint, and we always wash the tea herbs with hot water before we add sugar and washed mint etc. it is a careful process that needs care and attention. Everytime, I go to Marrakesh guiding some of my international friends, i really find it hard to justify the reality of Morocco and how this is not the real IT. Though exotic and different it is, it is truly not Morocco. However, we have so many things here, the country is very diverse for anyone of any interest. If you decide to come in summer you will get the pleasure of enjoying really great beaches and seas, from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic. If you are a surfer, a writer, a photographer, an artist, an architect, a history major, an activist, a philanthropic, a linguist, a chef, a journalist, or simply a person curious to discover, we have it all... Enough to satisfy all your needs, but trust me, doing it the wrong way is not the best way there is for you, nor for us. Hope you guys get what I'm trying to say, I'm Moroccan and I just find annoying to know such misrepresentations go uncorrected.
