I too felt that the tone was disrespectful, but he did say at the end of the video that he was dying; It could account for the abrupt tone. The shots of the mountains and Amazigh life were very good though.

I did not like it when he said "well, TV and Americam culture have arrived." I should say "Thank God the Americans have arrived." Just as England and France said in euphoria in WWII. They make take some but Americans have always given more. How much have the French given to Morocco in 50 years of "protectorate"? Almost zilch, zero but speeches. By the way, some of the descendants of the same "berbers" (Amazigh) you see have been sent to fight the Nazis alongside English troops while the French sat on their asses and directd the traffic to the front ("En avant" but never "After me!). Such short memories...

Chris was my friend. He died aged 63. He was a true eccentric, who loved life and hated it, in equal measure. He was often stroppy, but that's because he was complicated. Many a time we had a good argument. But he suffered greatly and I miss his grumpy friendship! I wish he had known Jesus. That he rejected Him, breaks my heart.

Why did you have to say towards the end "I am dying??" Good men don't die who leave good memories behind. Thank you so much for this video.

I watched this video because I was interested in mountain villages, and how houses are constructed and so on, and several times I disliked the comments that the film maker made, I thought them arrogant. It would've been a much better film with no voice over because we learnt nothing from it except the film maker's love of self.
