MOROCCO Offroad 2023 Part 3 - A wild journey through the High Atlas Moutnains

With the coming series of videos I want to share my experience on a 4 week offroad trip on my motorbike through Marocco. This time I cross the High Atlas Mountains on some remote roads. Defenitely one of the Highlights of the Trip.

Bin die komplett gleiche Hoher Atlas Querung vor ein Monat gefahren. Auch als alleinreisender aber mit etwas leichterem Motorrad. G650 X Challenge. Schnee lag heuer bei höhen um 3000 m fast nichts. Nur in noch höheren lagen leuchtete Schnee herunter. Im Cirque de Shaffar bin ich bei einer von den dreien Schafbauernfamilien übernachtet. War für mich ein besonderes Erlebnis mit der sechsköpfigen Familie aus einer Schüssel ohne Besteck zu essen.

Great video! Does the motor on the KTM run OK with local fuel in the high altitudes..? I am considering a somewhat similar trip on my 790 S. ( S wie "small" weil ich bin klein..)

No problems with the engine because of high altitude or local fuel. Biggest issue in my opinion would still be the dust and sand in the air filter. Best solution for that in my opinion would be the Power parts filter from KTM (does not work with the original S Model seat, you would need the "R" seat). But this one would be easiest to clean. Touratech has another foam filter solution that replaces the original Paper filter. Go for it and have a good time :-)
