I have played both factions for about an equal amount of time over 12 and a half years and this happens on both sides. I used to play alliance back in the day, and always bitched that the horde ganged up on you, but since I started playing horde I always see the alliance ganging up on me. Looks like it's just the pvp server experience lol.

It is, shortly after AQ came out I had 2 accounts. Had a level 60 rogue on each. I would have a rogue camped somewhere just so I could watch the general chat while leveling alts on the opposite faction. The general chats were the same. Both thought it was only the other side doing it. It helped break my confirmation bias. I recommend everyone level a character in classic on both factions through STV on pvp servers.

IKR?! That's what makes this so much more ironic. Even on my Alliance characters I'm a total mercenary letting my "fellow alliance players" get ganked while I stand there like Malfurion. I only rolled Alliance because Night Elves are so cool. Outside of that, Goldshire/Elwynn is fun, and being a "double agent" really adds extra fun and is a straight up benefit. But on my Horde? I'm a patriot! Tribalism 101. xD

A LOT of Exp from just doing the 5 quests (4 part quest and final reward quest), I got 1/3 from the 5 quests to get lvl 44 and this is a quest that starts at lvl 30...

this is astoundingly accurate... even in Orgrimmar other people see you get ganked, lose your buffs and just do a /laugh... meanwhile in Silithus some alliance player does what this gnome in the video does, and his cries for help can be heard all the way to ironforge, and then 5-10 minutes later a group of alliance show up... my favorite is when im farming the furbolgs in winterspring and some alliance player is there farming too, all passive and friendly, and the horde players in the area leaves him alone like you leave a stray cat alone, due to pity, despite the fact you know he is nicking potential firewaters and you could easily stop him if you wanted... then the second the horde players leave and another alliance player or two shows up, the guy who acted friendly and passive for the past 20 minutes suddenly turn violent and just ganks you on sight over and over. so you see, 'FELLOW ALLIANCE PLAYERS', this is why you get ganked on sight, because experience has taught me that you'd god damn well do the same if given the chance.

It's not wrong. I asked for help yesterday in general chat after a pair of higher level horde killed me and two guys showed up to help in 2-3 minutes, the three of us proceeded to kill these guys for 20 minutes. Well, one of them left about 10 minutes in, but a few minutes after the other guy gave up a lvl 60 came in (his main I'm guessing?) and dispersed us. I got help from my FELLOW ALLIANCE PLAYERS right away, but this guy needed to get his main to deal with us.

Read the description and on my server it was the complete opposite. Horde were always ganking and no alliance would ever come and help. I actually switched servers and went Horde recently. I leveled a 50 hunter, 30 rogue and 30 priest and left my server cause I've always wanted to play Horde and never did and I've been playing mostly on since 06 when I was like 12-13 lol.

What I said is more a jab at Alliance than a complaint about ganking, since I can only be stuck in Hellfire Peninsula while watching Roger Corman movies for so long. (Actual first hand account of life in hell) Honestly unless you do it once in a while, spur of the moment for pure amusement and walk away after a few kills so that you can have your laugh and the other player can get on with their life, you are human garbage. Horde are just one Zeppelin ride away from STV from a capital city, and have a huge base in the middle of it, Ally have to run from Darkshire, or Booty Bay. It's hell to navigate for Ally and they're even easily gankable in our own 'camp', with both entrances into the zone being bottlenecks. Horde have it easy in STV, and I find gank culture to be much worse on Horde's side, but hey.

Well spotted! That is now the canon reason! The actual reason is that I reused the "Warlock Tank" from "The Modern Instance Group", but he didn't look hateable enough with beard, he looked like a cute fuzzy wubby bubby wizard, so I had to make him look as infuriating as possible. I must have forgotten to save, so when I loaded him again I forgot that I changed him.
