On our motorbike ride through the central interior of Portugal, we learnt that to catch a train to Lisbon, you have to wait for the ferry and cross the Tagus River.
And each time we got deeper and deeper into the interior of Portugal, bathed by the magnificent Tejo River.
One of the good things about motorbike tours in Portugal, is that we can stop, talk to the local people and get to know the life stories, routines and customs that accompany this deep Portugal.
Now that spring is here, motorbike tours in the hidden roads of the country's interior are a good reason to go for a simple ride alone, or accompanied and do what is called mototurismo in Portugal, or BMW moto turismo - for those who want to call it that.
And it's worth every single kilometre travelled.
