Rogue and Nightcrawler don't have a "brother sister-type" relationship they have a "they *are* brother and sister" type relationship. Step-siblings technically but Mystique, who adopted Rogue in her teens, is Nightcrawler's biological mother.

Psyclops. Jean grey has her link with Scott. Magneto magnifies her psionic strength. Cable is destroying her body. She inhabits Scott with her powers. So Scott has telekinesis with optic blast meaning he can control his power but also now has raw telepathy power too. Scott channels Jean to save Logan. Sinister and cable destroy bastion. Then cue apocalypse and we find out mystique can hold form with a broken arm.
