What's up Band Heads! It's time to get active. Today I'm reacting arguably the greatetest band of all time, Morris Brown College Band. Prior to their Fall! they were looked at as the Greatest in the Nation, during 90s to the early 2000s. Until their fall from grace due to mis handling of the school funds by administrators.
comment down below what you think!

There’s official footage on my page if you’d like to see more. In addition, let’s give credit to Eddie Ellis, Melvin Hodges and the awesome staff we had. His awesome recruitment efforts were second to none. We have a rich history and legacy within our band and at our institution and we all love her! More coming soon.

Thank you for recognizing/highlighting Morris Brown College Marching Wolverine band's contribution to HBCU marching band excellence!! We are the G.O.A.T.!!! The Marching Wolverines were a trendsetter that other bands still look to for ideas and inspiration. My sister and I were privileged to be a member of the band in the late 70"s (76-80) and thoroughly enjoyed my time in the band. The musicianship and work ethics instilled in us by our Professor and Band Director, Mr. Cleopas Johnson, is still with me today. My son and a cousin were also in the band in the early 2000s when Drumline was made ("It's All About the Tubas!!"). I will forever be thankful for the opportunity afforded to me to participate. I am forever a Marching Wolverine!! #Ibleedpurple

My parents went to Mo Brown, played in this band, and after they graduated in the late 1970’s, my Daddy was the Assistant Band Director of this amazing band in the 80’s and 90’s. This is the band I grew up around. During the 80’s and 90’s the only band that could rival them, truly, was FAMU. They were truly one of the best bands in the land.

Morris Brown use to spoken in the same sentence as JSU/FAMU/GRAMBLING as being the best HBCU band (back in the day). Please keep doing videos like these and maybe comparison of then and now. Excellent video and commentary. #TheeILove #IBelieve

I was attending Morris Brown starting in 1999. I grew up in South DeKalb County where Southwest DeKalb, Stephenson, Redan, Cedar Grove, Lithonia, Columbia..I can keep naming them all h the way to the Westside high schools. Morris Brown Marching Band was the Southwest DeKalb of College bands if you grew up in that time you know. Morris Brown by far was the Best Band in the Land.

They were definitely instrumental (pun intended lol) in turning more students to getting in band programs across the south. I was in high school during that sweet spot of 2001 & 2002 MBC leading the way and Drumline premiering. That period in time really turned people on to bands who weren't aware of the band community and created more fans. I wanted to attend either MBC or CAU because of the ATL band scene, but then that stuff happened and we all had to change plans after the MBC situation.
