Led's only work fitted one way... but you probably know that. Keep enjoying the old car, you learn as you go. Every little thing makes it better. Good luck with the job hunting.

The lenses should be polished with plastic scratch remover. They will look new and transmit more light. Lamps should be upgraded to LED's which would be far brigher and place a much reduced load on the electrical system. I recently replaced all of the exterior and interior lamps on my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer with LED's , and the improvement is stunning.

I bought led bulbs from classic car leds. I’ve not fitted them yet. I watched the video with them fitted to a traveler on KZbin.

I’ve read that LED brake lights must be fitted in pairs otherwise they don’t light up correctly. Good video, am enjoying the channel!

Not unusual to find taillight lenses with drain holes drilled in them (bottom portion) to let water out.
