Thank you soo much for sharing this! My Ford Freestyle has the same issue, I ran a zip tie through the original hole and around the cable and tightened it as much as possible and it works now!

So did you leave the cable out of the hole? It didn’t effect the pull?

Thank you a thousand times!! I'm so frustrated with tolerating that seat not working and LIMITING the use of my car!! I thought maybe someone else was having the problem too. 10K+ views, I see I'm not alone. :D

Took a set of Flex seats out at a junkyard for my c10 project. And the latches worked while they were in the vehicle, but when I got them home I could get either one to fold. Thanks this has been a huge help.

You put Flex seats in a Chevy truck? That's dope.

Thank you i just bought a 2010 xlt with a blown right turbo for $1110 and so far this is the only other issue I've found. I need to recline it a bit for my son's car seat so huge help!

Thanks for your video. My 2010 Flex 2nd row seat latch has been giving me trouble since I purchased brand new. Had it replaced over and over. Going to give your "fix" a try.

Our 2009 Flex seat is working after a looooong time. Thanks for your video.

My 2nd row seat does this as well. My Flex is a 2011. What I do is, Push the the back, back and hold and then push up the lever. Doing this seems to tighten up the slack of the cable.

Thx for the post. Mine worked for the first two months of ownership, then went south. Time to implement the fix!

Thank You 🙏, great job thinking outside of the box. It looks like a faulty design flaw.

Question, is your 2nd row a 60/40 bench or 2bucket seats? Just wanted to know if the 60 side is supposed to tumble like the 40 side.

2nd row back seat stuck in flat position. It can fold the entire seat up, but the seat stays in the flat position during. The entire seat can go back down as well, but again, stays stuck in the flat position. What to do?

what size drill bit to drill the two holes..and what size metal piece..it looks small..what did u use to fasten the metal.
@morrison19984 жыл бұрын
For this a 1/8” bit with 1/8 rivets. The metal plate was sized to fit the spot. I don’t know what size it was. Probably about 1/2” x 1-1/2”. Just improvise as you need.
