Sending love to you. I’m a Mancunian and I can tell you that most of us were enraged by the atrocity that night. We didn’t hold candles and sing along with the crap being put out. We were fu*kin angry. That poet guy made me sick…. Diatribe! I hope your lass has recovered as well as possible, silly words, I know. Liam Gallagher doing that concert made me sick…. His way of getting back at Noel. I wish you and your family all the best for the future and heartfelt prayers to you all. ✌🏻

@@Billie-p2t Thank you for this. My wife and youngest daughter are pretty well recovered now. My eldest is on quite a long journey to recovery, but she'll get there. Other families suffered in ways that can never get better. That orchestrated reaction at the time made me sick. It didn't help to learn later that it all actually came from a planned Government response designed to keep the locals calm - and all funded by taxes. Super! Except that it's not a song about war at all, it is a love song. Was just sung in the wake of a terrorist attack in the city cause it's important to the town and one person started singing it and people joined in. I suspect Morrissey is a bit jealous deep down they weren't singing a Smiths song - calling the mourning 'morons' says quite a lot about him considering a lot of the people singing that in the original would have been loved ones of the deceased. I love the Smiths, and this song is great, but people saying it says some deep message that there was no reaction to the Manchester attacks are morons. Also Morissey coming out as if he's some prophet that is really going against the grain and saying something outlandish is cringe - his songs and voice (I actually am stunned by how good he still sounds) are sensational , but he really is a bit of a dipshit IMO.

One of the victims, Eilidh McLeod from Barra was 14. I hope she's in a better place. Don't look back in anger ??? Please !!!...like Morrisey I'll be angry about her death till my last day.
