MORRO JABLE MARKET, Jandia, Fuerteventura | Is it worth visiting?
We often visit the local markets when in the Canaries. Fuerteventura is no different, and on our last two visits to Caleta de Fuste we paid a visit on both occasions. We decided to visit the one in Morro Jable to see if it offered anything different. The Market in Morro Jable takes place on the car park (Near to the Blue Sea hotel) every Thursday.

We didn't go for the caricature, I've already got my channel mascot and the Mrs probably wouldn't want hers done. Tbh, the same family were still having theirs done when we walked past again. I don't think he did many per hour.

My goodness, that is one crowded marketplace. That's a no thanks for me but JoAnna would spend far too much money there. I think I would be enjoying the sun and the sand down at the beach or eating at one of those good restaurants! Thanks for the look around Andrew! Have a great weekend!

Thanks for watching Paul. I think they pack so much onto a small space, hence the crowding. We managed to pick up a couple of gifts from there, so it was worth a visit. Then we went off for something to eat by the beach. Enjoy your weekend, too.

I like a market but I like the sun even more, so would be happy with both of them there. Certainly plenty to see there and that would keep Mrs Metalman happy for a very long time and in that sun, I would be happy tagging along too. reminds me a lot of the Turkey markets, which we remember well, '3 bags for a tenner!' I'd for sure not make it out of there without buying something! I'm sorta into trinkets and shiny things!! LOL But nope, nobody is going to touch my feet!! LOL Those coconut bowls were quite neat, but not sure they'd make it through customs here in Canada...they seriously frown on wood and other plant parts. Where's your loot??!! lol

Last time we were on the island, we did buy a pair of those bowls. 2 for 10 euros is a good price as they're usually 8 euros each in the gift shops. It's interesting to know about Canadian customs. @@chrisstephens6194 I've only ever been to Corralejo once many years ago and it was a very busy night. Comparing it to Caleta de Fuste where we have stayed several times. I would say Morro Jable is quieter than Caleta for singers/acts etc but there were bands playing in bars on an evening. We tended to visit the old town seafront, it may have been livelier in other areas.
