I just love how these theme has become a leithmotif of the whole TES series end get it's variations from the original TES3 to the all TESO DLC themes...
@tremendousyeet34677 ай бұрын
It's subtle when you consider the theory that every protagonist is a reincarnation of Lorkhan, the leitmotiff is Lorkhan's soul beckoning within the other elements of the song which describe the protagonist.

leithmotif...I just learned a new word
@front1432 ай бұрын
@@tremendousyeet3467I can complement your words with the theory that the sounds of the drums at the beginning of each version of this wonderful musical composition are nothing more than the tone or beat of Lorkhan's heart. In addition, we know that Lorkhan was called the Drum of Doom and we can understand something when interacting with the heart in the third part of the game. So I agree that this soundtrack has something in common or is somehow connected with one of the famous deities - Lorkhan.

this song is like the original definition of the word "epic". it feels so good. makes me think of exploration, a magical land of adventure that's waiting to be explored, with loads of secrets and treasures to uncover. friends to make, enemies to fight. innocents to help, choices to make.
@andrewmurray4093 жыл бұрын
Haha you mean vampire clans to join, arrogant pseudo gods to kill and innocents to bleed dry

The perfect theme for the elder scrolls adventure

Hearing this as you emerge from the Red Mountain, the victorious, conquering, hero, as the sun rises and the air clears of ash, is the best feeling in gaming.

I used to love the random down time moments, buying potions and scrolls in vivec or something, its just dead quiet besides the random mutterings of the npcs, or the ones that greet you in passing. Then, all of a sudden you hear the quiet subtle drum hits in the pairs of the intro... And the swelling piece just comes out of nowhere, slapping for the most non-dramatic moment. 🤣 You become so inspired for your 20 minute long walk to the next destination !

It’s so insane how the soundtrack drove the player to explore. When you first get off that boat, go to balmora…. Then you kinda get the feel for it. Wondering round vicec like you say…. Gathering small bits of information along the way… nothing compares to the atmosphere of this game to this day for me… the soundtrack was a huge part in the already gigantic universe of my youth. Phenomenal game.

This song put me to sleep as a baby child when my dad took care of me. I have always been a TES baby. And forever will be. Anyone who had parents who introduced them to this series, had a good childhood in my opinion 💜 I love Skyrim, it's got me through a lot of things. I even got some of my friends to play it and that makes me happy, I hope this series keeps staying epic. hopefully Tod will make something that warms our hearts as these songs once did

The games of our youths, when we had the most time, the lest fettered imaginations and enough wide eyed innocence to find wonderment in everything, those are the games that stay with us. That define our expectations, that all subsequent games, fail to recapture, because so much of what made those games great, was infact our youth. Morrowind is that game for me.
@veteran0121 Жыл бұрын
I'd like to say it's a combination of youth AND the game being good. If I played the game now I'd still love it and be fascinated by it.
@toffeecrisp2146 Жыл бұрын
@veteran0121 don't worry, I don't mean to suggest that Morrowind lacks objective qualities, beyond those I ascribe to it in misty eyed retrospection. Only that, the game is of its time and that time was significant both within the industry but separately, for myself too.

i grew up on early 2010s games, and i can say, for sure, that even tho i've only just got the hang of morrowinds mechanics after 6 months, that it was game design at its finest. now days everything is spoonfed troll shit with copied mechanics, over realistic graphics and uninteresting, not inspiring and boring stories.

"Its been years since the outlanders came and counquered our lands. Ever since, I have been persecuted for my supperior beliefs and culture. If it werent for the Imperial scum, Id be happily eating Quama eggs and Salt Rice, and dying of blight, at the ripe age of 30. Only you can comfort me in these trying times..." - Sethzeentach "Imagine a perfect land, where foreigners are called the N word, giant insect eggs are the main diet, and where inferior beasts are made to serve their elven masters, dying by the thousands as they struggle to make breakfast..." - Dovahhatty
