I was sold on this system the first time I saw it. I also installed the MoRyde hinge mounted brackets to hold my full length shovel and axe. I have never had a single issue with it, and the list of things I can say that about is short. I found a raised tire mount to use with it that I liked better for some reason or other which I can't recall and which holds a 35 vertical (I don't dig on the slant back thing). I drilled holes in the top of the mount for my cb and ham antennas to mount through and the antenna cables enter the tub through the tailgate grommet where the third eye brake light wire used to be. I also tried the MoRyde Jerry can holder, but it's a brick shithouse like the rest of system so it's 25lbs before you even put a can in it. It quickly got replaced with a stack of roto's for longer trips.... looks cool, though, and I do use it on day trips sometimes. Salty Jeeper tip: if you take long trips with friends who have pickup trucks (especially those Yota guys who love to brag about their mpg) you can put your fuel in their spacious cargo beds and tell them it'll help their traction : )

I try to tell him ill hold his extra fuel lol my WJ dont care. It gets the same mpg regardless of it its empty or loaded for camping.

Glad you like it! Rusty’s was not an option when I bought this tire carrier. I’d need to look into it further to have an opinion on the Rusty’s. I still like the tire carrier to this day and it’s held up incredibly well.
