Tbf, this version of Hanzo possibly never has to go through the pain and suffering of losing his family and clan like in the original timeline. Depending on how things go, maybe Hanzo can have the family he was denied and finally live a happy life, it just won't be with Harumi, but w/ someone else For someone who always seemed doomed to lose everything which leads to him becoming a puppet for the very man responsible for a time, this is far from a bad alternative for Hanzo

what i love about MK1 is that its clear Netherrealm that has done 2 things.1: planned out mortal combat 2 and most likely 3 of this new timeline already andnhave a fun new direction they want to go. AND 2 They are still going to take their time and let us enjoy MK1 for a long time with new characters and kameos and the really in depth invasions mode. I am already excited that I can enjoy Mk1 for as long as NRS supports, and still know great stuff is on the way. I wasn't so sure this early into MK11 and now I'm hyped

The endings I do love has a bit of from the 3D era endings but also new to fit in this timeline. I would say tho even if they do tend to bring Onaga back as seen in Reiko's ending he'll kinda be a footnote given all the major threats that has happened prior before, it still would be cool tho to see him in this new era regardless.

This endings feel like an aftermath of the story if a story dlc comes out we will follow the outworld civil war against shao and since we getting takeda as a dlc is most likely that hanzo will be this eras version of takeda so so far we have 2 of the combat kids being kun jin hinted in an intro with kun lao and kenshi and takeda and my theory ia that jaqqui can already be born jax meeting his wife in another circunstances so that just leaves cassie cage since she hasnt been hinted at in convos i have heard in

I really like Shao Khan in this new story. Even though he's still a jobber (but that's a problem with Netherrealm story mode) he is portrayed a lot better. He sounds more intelligent, always scheming for his success and trying to capitalise on everything, he's not just a brute enforcer anymore.

Those are my favorite endings of the entire series. Instead of hypothetical What Ifs that contradicts one another, those feel more like the natural progression of each fighter’s story, that gives hints of what could happen next in the story. Really looking forward to see the story continuation in the next games and dlc.

Character endings were confirmed to be canon by the writer. That’s why everything ties in to each other. If they all had completely different ending outside each other it wouldn’t be canon. They wanted to expand on the story via tower ending this time around instead of just having more non canon endings. Also I can’t believe Liu kang cucked my boy hanzo and made his wife marry his greatest rival. They did my boy dirty in this game. Made him a kid and made his greatest nemesis marry his past timelines wife like wtf?

I have a theory about Hanzo. He could be Noob Saibot. In this timeline he would have been Harumi's first husband who died along with their son. He returns as Noob with the mission of transforming Harumi into a specter like him and their son and together they would serve the Brotherhood of Shadows as a family. He could even ally with Bi Han to get revenge on Kuai Liang. This way they would maintain the rivalry between Hanzo and Kuai Liang in this new timeline.

Dynasty covered the leaks on his channel and the leaks were released by the same guy that leaked the entire roster and the fact that there’s no 24th character. The leaked dialogue confirms bi Han becomes noob in the dlc expansion and that the hanzo scorpion from another timeline gets manipulated by bi Han into trying to kill kuai by using the fact that kuai marries harumi. A few dialogue snippets from the data miners were leaked not everything. Only snippets of dialogue from each chapter from the dlc. One snippet from the final chapter confirms that hanzo scorpion can’t return to his timeline (it probably gets destroyed) so kuai asks him to join his clan so basically the new shirai ryu of the new era has two scorpions which I find kinda sick to be honest.

I've a lot of conflict with the Scorpion and Smoke ending... 1st i don't dislike the idea about Hanzo being a Child in this era and that Kuai Liang and Smoke helped him to improve himself. We know Hanzo and Kuai have a lot of connection, this is because Kuai it's the one that makes Scorpion to redeem himself. I will be kinda cool that in this new era Liu kang will let Kuai knows about the past versions of Scorpion and how Hanzo have suffer a lot, so when he knows that Hanzo is only a child in this timeline, he will take the time to care and make him have a great life. But what i really don't like, it's the fact that they make Kuai Liang being with Harumi... I think this feels like a betrayl, of how they develop Kuai and Hanzo relashionship during this years, and Liu Kang knowing how Harumi means to him, I don't know what he was thinking about when he make this decisition. But yeah that is my opinion. (Sorry for my bad english)

The reason he did so was because the Lin kuei were douche bags eventhough bi Han didn’t necessarily kill his wife. Bi Han and the other lin kuei members still bullied the shirai ryu due to them having magic and the shirai not having it before hanzo got his powers. Instead of simply making it so hanzo didn’t die and become a specter and now having his wife die would’ve solved hanzo not becoming evil instead of going and cucking the boy completely like wtf. Honestly netherealm needs to fire their lead writer. People complained about all the bad pot decisions of mk 11 like making sindel bad etc yet they rehired the same writer 😑🤦. The problem is that there’s no fixing this shit and hanzo is gonna remain a cuck for a shit ton of games and that’s assuming they reboot the franchise in the future again. If they don’t and decide this is the way forward hanzo is gonna remain like this forever. I can’t believe Ed boon says Scorpion is his favorite character yet completely fucks over the original scorpion.

I didn't like the main story mode. It was fine until Liu Kang's chapter then the all timetravel/timeline/multiverse thing ruined the story for me. It sucks that has a teaser for more multiverse shit in the post-credits scene. But I really liked the arcade endings. That they are mostly a connected epilogue is great, and honestly wouldn't be impossible to make all them canon in the next game, being the events of the ending happening in the main story or the main story happening after these events. It's great that apart from Liu and Geras endings, all endings are simply about this universe. I really hope the next games just focus on this universe. If they keep with titans/multiverse bs, it will honestly kill my interest in the franchise, Mortal Kombat story would be over for me. And yeah, bring Onaga back already, it's pass time.

God, MK's probably the best it's ever been in terms of gameplay and content. The franchise is wildly popular and raking in millions. But the grim atmosphere that used to pervade these games is gone and the stories they tell now are so underwhelming and bloated with clichés. Seems more like a vehicle for NRS to gush about their favourite movies. It's their property to do with as they want, I just hate seeing what I used to believe was one of gaming's premier IP's turn into such a generic and bland game.
