I hate when casuals talk about things they're uneducated about. As someone that competes in fighting games, difficulty has nothing to do with fun factor, however mortal kombat is historically known to be incredibly easy compared to other fighting games. Modern controls in street fighter 6 do not make the game easier, it's only really a tool for getting new players to try the game. Fighting games have really small communities compared to most games, and it annoys me when people who literally know nothing about them just say things that are untrue. Tekken 8, sf6, and mk 1 are all great and if you aren't playing all three then you're just a casual who likes to mess around in fighting games so it's great that you have fun playing them, but you should probably keep the opinions to a minimum.

Street Fighter 6 is the hardest street fighter game and everyone is having a blast. Tekken is the hardest fighting game and it's the most sold fighting game on ps4. Meanwhile, let's look at mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat x is seen as one of the greatest fighting games of all time. It's the fastest, most complex mortal Kombat Game with tons of options. Meanwhile, mortal kombat 11 is the simplest mortal Kombat Game since mortal Kombat 2 and it is considered to be the worst mortal Kombat Game of all time when it comes to gameplay because it's just straight up boring. Another thing that really tells me if you actually play these games Is what you said about modern controls. I have absolutely no lifed street fighter 6 this week. I have 800 matches played and I'm currently diamond 4, meaning I'm about to hit master which is literally the highest rank possible. In all this playtime I have not fought a single player on modern controls. You can literally look at the leaderboards and see what controls they're using and not a single player in the top 1000 is using modern controls because most people that use them are stuck in rookie-gold. Yes, some pro players were considering using modern before the game came out because it does increase your reaction time, however the damage debuff is too serious right now for it to actually be viable. Again, this leads back to my original point. People who are not educated in fighting games should become educated before they speak because fighting games have the smallest player base out of any genre. Most fighting games (besides sf6 rn) only have about 10-3000 players on it at any time, meaning that people like agent have a live viewership that is more than the entirety of the people that are actively playing 90% of fighting games. It stops people from wanting to start, especially when people say easy=bad, but its even more stupid when people say easy = bad, and the thing they're talking about is actually the hardest and most mechanically in depth the series has ever been (sf6 in this case)

Like I said, tekken is the hardest fighting game yet it's the most popular. Although there are ways to make it easier for new players, aka things like modern controls in sf6. But as you saw what was in some of the other replies to my comment, some people like to spew straight up lies about it instead of just letting it be used for it's purpose, which is to bring new players in and make them understand the game quicker.

With all due respect to the Mortal Kombat franchise and everything it does and continues to do for the fighting game community, Street Fighter 3 and Tekken 5 to me are the greatest fighting games ever made by man. To me personally they aren't necessarily ranked as "No. 1" and "No. 2", but more like "1A" and "1B". Personally I just haven't seen a level of greatness in the genre that both of these two games displayed in their respective eras.
