Honestly the unlimited timelines kind of ruined everything about the story, it began good with lettuce farmers raiden and kung lao. This last one finally getting some justice beign a main character but guess what? Protagonism goes to raiden, breh. Baraka and reptile finally went for something else rather than beign the low tier punch boxes from previous games. I really liked that part. What happened with bi han after kuai liang defeated and took him back to the lin kuei base? That arc is left there dead lol.

Nope. Since NRS tried rebooting MK and making it more cinematic with plot, etc; from 9 onwards. It’s been a nose dive in plot and character quality. 9 still being the best, as it was the start with its sequels being worse with each new installment. Sure some nice aspects an details here a there. Regardless, a turd is still a turd. This new installment and reboot being no different.

Mk9 was peak, atleast they didnt go for "haha unlimited alternative universe timelines" lazy lore and it actually had some writting, raiden trying to avoid the events from the previous mortal kombats. Mkx was bad in every possible way and mk11 fixed it a bit on the story, not enough tho
