As an MK veteran, (I plugged more quarters into this game than anything else in the arcades, except maybe Soul Caliber 😂) I can say, the series has had its ups and downs, but this game stands as an absolute love letter to EVERYTHING Mortal Kombat, even the rather obscure titles. Great fun for newcomers, and lot's of clever call backs for longtime fans. It's great to see the franchise still going so strong all these years later. And yes, I know, I FEEL old too. 😂😂 At least at 46 I'll be around to see where else they can take this amazing storyline. Be safe out there.

The twist where both MK11 endings were real was excellent. The Armageddon part of the ending was confusing and chaotic, Jarrod actually returning and taking over ermacs body was amazing. The story had many redemption arcs for former villains and I loved it! Salute to everyone who had a hand in making the game. Excellent work

I feel a lot of people have been wondering about why Bi-han turned evil. I do believe that the story is very well written in that it captures the small moments that you really should pay attention to. Bi-han is a man who fundamentally feels that everyone js against him, that no one respects him and that no one deserves sympathy for being a voice against his deepest fear that he is alone. This frustration inside bi-han was on the verge of a nuclear disaster, all it needed was an obviously evil psychopath to convice him that HE was right and that no one else really matters except him because he is the only person he can ever really trust. This then turned to rage and an unquenchable thirst for revenge and domination. He had to show everyone HE was worthy, HE had value, HE was someone. He basically turned into a maniacal narcissist, clouded by delusions of grandeur. He is a really realistic character because this is something that happens in real life. People turn vile and evil because of their childhood. Children need to feel loved and supported and if they dont its a risk that they may turn their path towards evil. Its unlikely but they are a dog without a leash and they REQUIRE guidance. I have to admit I rushed through this story because I at first wanted to look at it from a technical standpoint, how does everything fit together, how does it work? But I really missed the human side of it, as I often do ngl😂 Awesome writing fr

That is so true though! I've been trying to get everyone to see that Bi han isn't evil at all. He is just misguided by his thrist to feel wanted and appreciated for something he sees and knows that it can be accomplished which is letting the Lin Kuei serve. Bi han sees that the Lin Kuei can show and give their true potential but everyone is thinking that's a bad idea seeing that he's some grumpy guy that had a rough childhood but the eldest child gets harder than the younger ones or one so seeing that Kuai Liang emotions does show, we don't ever see Bi han emotions showing even though we all knows that he have emotions. We see that Bi han put his people before himself including his own litte brother Kuai Lian. Bi han put everyone before himself as if he needs to please everyone first before pleasing himself, which is an unhealthy habit btw but we can that is how Bi han was raise. You can actually see, hear and understand how he was raise when he was growing up that he had a rough time. Just like in the other timelines, Bi han always had a rough and tough childhood growing up and the protagonists always uses that against him turning against his family and friends. Bi han is misguided and needs someone who WILL tick around and guide him back to the light of good bc everyone ALWAYS turn their backs on him once they think he turn evil and cruel. Bi han feels the needs to prove to everyone that HE is worthy, that HE is someone, that HE is worthy of being a great leader but in reality, Bi han needs love, support, and caring from someone who WILL always be there for him. From someone who will always love and show him that love matter what happens. Someone to reassure him when he's in doubt, someone who reassures him that he doesn't need to prove himself that he is best person he is by just being himself and I feel Mortal Kombat should give him someone like that. No offense, I freaking love it the game, its my fav game in the world!!!but they should stop using his trauma against him and give us a storyline where he resolves his trauma and accepts himself for who he truly is. Please Mortal Kombat, stop using Bi han trauma against him and give us a storyline where he finally accepts himself for who he truly is.

This is hands down one of THE if not THE best Mortal Kombat game ever. And I'm so proud of Liu Kang. As a child I grew up with Liu Kang and see him grew and go through a lot of changes and now that he is a God and a protector of a realm able to protect his home and realm that I feel greatly proud of him like a father would do for a son. I must admit. If we needed to pass trough Mortal Kombat 11 and Aftermath to get to this, I would call it a good trade. This take on Mortal Kombat is awesome! Crewating a new story but with enough of the original and the known conflict to still feel like the old ones! Making Baraka and Reptile, the 2 charachters that always felt like fodder to beat, interesting and relevant charachters!
