Graphics wise mk11 looks better, but i much prefer the artistic style of mk1, it's much more vibrant and appealing imo. Gameplay wise is a whole different topic but i do like mk1's gameplay better so far.

I'm enjoying MK1 , I really love invasions and Kameos but overall MK 11 is a superior game. The gear system and skin system is legions better. In MK1 you can only customize one piece of gear on whatever Skin your wearing. Also MK 11 allowed you to customize skills, MK1 does not. My biggest complaint is the fact that MK11 allows you to preview anything that needed to be unlocked and told you where to get it so you knew where to grind and look forward to, but MK1 only shows you four items at a time and most of it is just brutality fatality and pallette swap. Big downgrade. Also Shang Tsung does not use soul magic in any of his combos

that last point of Shang Tsung is mainly changed due to the new origin, in this he is more of a proficent alchemist he does posess some magic but not to the extent his previous counterpart had SPOILERS: his arcade ending does hint he may become more powerful in the future

The story mode picks the layout for you and any other game mode you can use the default skill setup. MK1 literally gave us less on a new generation console which should be an upgrade and game mechanics that should have been expanded. They created an incomplete game which you pay 20 dollars for skins and 10 dollars for fatalities. The Kameo system is great but MK11 was far superior and felt ground breaking, just look at the Krypt compared to invasions

Even X was better than 11 in my opinion but that’s just opinion. And you talking about the pay wall please don’t forget mk11 did the exact same thing. Released a game for 60 standard and 100 for ultimate ,but you only got the first round of dlc characters for a whole 40 more only got 6 characters 😂 and then they dropped a whole other kampaign with just 3 characters that if wanted at the get go even after buying ultimate edition for 100 had to spend another 40. Just for them to drop another kombat back for 30 for JUST 3 CHARACTERS. THAT THEY COULDVE ADDED TO THE STORY WHEN THEY ADDED 3 others. Mk11 was around 170-180 full price when you bought it when it came out. Which they already had planned before release and were just getting duped again. I’m glad I bought it on sale this time. Should’ve expected it from this company bud.
