I see why kitana says the outwolders won’t accept them, they don’t trust the other, like jade and scorpion warn liu kang about breaking kitana said heart, and kotal tells kitana that her responsibility protecting the realms is more import and then love while also warning liu kang, in the other side raiden, kung Lou and others think kitana might not be trust worthy and think she is liu kang’s distraction. I hope this doesn’t encourage a break up, in the older games (the original time line) kitana proposes to liu kang but liu kang says no because of his responsibility as earth realm’s champ and protector, kitana understands it but it leads to a distance, cause she didn’t know liu kang died until they told her, and she wanted revenge, it’s a sad love story I hope they stay together this time.

Judging by some of the pre-fight dialogue in MK11, it sounds like Liu Kang & Kitana do marry and even have children together as Liu Kang warns Sindel about coming anywhere near he & Kitana's children. Jade & Kotal Khan may have reservations about Liu Kang & Kitana's relationship due to the ancient feud between Earthrealm & Outworld but both Jade & Kotal Khan do genuinely respect Liu Kang & only want to see Kitana happy & safe.
