In these walkthrough videos I show how to complete all Side-Missions as well as point out the locations of all unlockables (hidden characters, alternate costumes etc).
Mortal Kombat : Deception is my personal favourite '3D' Mortal Kombat game. Released in 2004, two years after Deadly Alliance, this game delivers in both quality AND quantity.
The game contains an abundance of 'Kontent'. Not only do we have the traditional one-on-one fighting modes; this game also contains 'Chess Kombat' & 'Puzzle Kombat', two excellent new additions.
Also, Konquest mode makes a return from Deadly Alliance, although here it is a full-blown RPG set in the Mortal Kombat universe. It is the main reason why Deception is my favourite '3D' Mortal Kombat game.
A MUST own game for Mortal Kombat fans.

In my opinion i find Havik's character and the voice actor completely accurate for him since its normal for him to say shit like that on the chaos realm without having to scream it at all or anything because its just completely normal there, so if you think about it there wouldn't really be any other way for him to say it other then seeming calm because its just normal there

Havik's "Head snap" and "Corpse taunt" special moves grant a very small amount of health back to the player. Not entirely useless.

You're very welcome, friend. However.. I must say, I still wouldn't use it because especially if you are in a tough battle against like: Baraka or Mileena or someone like that. Not a CHANCE they would let you use it and even if you do use it. They are most likely going to take that amount of health regenerated from you again anyway, if you get what I mean?

Something interesting i just noticed is that when Shujinko ages, the in game date actually reflects it. Back in Earthrealm, the date was year 01 until Shujinko aged; then it was 06. In this video it was 06 but became 16 when Shujinko went through the pool. Its a small detail, but its interesting they thought of it.

I somehow knew that, even when I was a bit younger; Damashi, also known as a puppet...was a dastardly ruse used by King Onaga to fool poor/dumb Shujinko into believing that he was meant to save all the known realms from complete annihilation/destruction. 😮🙄😆😎

1:04:48 This third version of Shujinko (which is probably him at around 30 years old) is my favorite. I think he looks the most authentic with his outfit. I wish this was his main appearance and not a drab old man.

The reason he struggles so much throughout this play through is because he doesn’t use versatility. The AI in this game is in fact programmed to counter combos you try to spam. It may sound weird to use versatility to beat the fight challenges but believe it or not it’s the quickest way and the best way to beat not only fight challenges but main mission fights as well. A special move here and there isn’t bad at all either.

I noticed that too. If the a.i. starts constantly blocking than it's time to switch up the moves. Also a bad idea to constantly use weapon formation due to how high damage is when hit in that form. Also rarely used low attacks.

When i played this game for the first time i tought that those realms were so huge and complex that i would never finish all side quests, i had a lot of trouble to remember which one i got and where's the goal and who's the target. Look, Bo Rai Cho isn't that bad. You just need to change a few things. His puking, farting, alcoholism, fighting style(s), appearance, name, story, game, universe, existence, and so on, i doubt you wouldn't like him after that.

Spoiler for anyone somehow not familiar with this game or just seeing this playthrough: Man. Even as a kid, looking back it really is tragic how Shujinko spent his whole life thinking he was being a hero and great warrior, only to realize later he's helping the villian. He's naively convinced to betray Bo Rai Cho, The Lin Kuai, and many other characters all while maintaining naivety that might stem from him spending his whole life sheltered within the earthrealm village. The voice acting of him realizing what he did near the end of konquest mode is some of the most emotive in the game. Damanchi picked the right one.

Just because he is a servant of chaos, that doesn't mean he is necessarily evil. Just unpredictable. :) In D&D terms, I'd probably put Havik in the realm of a Chaotic Neutral alignment. Not good or evil, but has no need for laws and order.
