For those confused: Mortal Kombat Revelations is an updated version of the romhack Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy. It adds Hydro and Quan Chi to the game. Hydro is an obscure character from Malibu Comics' Mortal Kombat storyline, basically a proto-Smoke who was Sub-Zero's partner, but got killed off. Fans decided to bring him back as a cyber ninja. Interestingly enough, that version of Hydro would be brought back for Mortal Kombat Legacy, minus the Glacius morphing powers. He also makes a cameo as one of the Assist Konsumables in MK11 If you're wondering why it's pronounced "hee-dro" instead of "high-dro", this was made by a young Brazilian fan. They were the most prominent part of the MK fangame community in the early days, specifically the Mortal Kombat MUGEN stuff, which was where this version of Hydro came from

This hack really loved the uppercut sprites they clearly ripped from Killer Instinct. I mean, yeah, that's how hacks work but it is still funny. The ending also has a deeply funny self-insert character feeling to it.

I'm using bizhawk 2.9.1 after you select the .bin archive a new screen asking for which core you need to play the game pick sega 32x instead of standard sega genesis/mega drive the game will be played as it should without any errors nor blue screens.

Yeah, seems like gen plus does not support high size roms with more than 4mb, picodrive in other hands supports and revelations is a 9.5mb rom, picking picodrive core (32x) fix the issue.

@@AB-yt9lbHe is a mugen character, he cames from the first and old classic Mortal Kombat Project 4.1 (MKP 4.1). Incase you never had contact with mugens you can make your own characters through image editor (photoshop css for example) animate the moves by generating gifs and play with them in a executable archive.
