Well...at least Kotal Kahn TRIED to keep things civil...for a bit. Unlike a certain tin helmet wearing emperor, he actually fights to protect Outworld. And if the ending to MKX is any indication, he will have to do just that if he wishes for Outworld to exist at all.

Problem is Kotal is a god before the ruler of the Outworld: unfortunately, decisions require human understanding, which he clearly lacks in spite of his good intentions and reasonability. Honor comes before anything, and everything went downhill when he started following his idealistic impulses. Will likely die a tragic death, filled with remorse about his past actions but leave a good heritage as parting gift, I can feel it.

@@bouillonpandemonium9270 Kotal is, with every probability, a Lawful Neutral, as in 'following the natural order of things'. He is all about his reign and bringing prosperity. But a Kahn, as the etymology suggests, is a Kahn: if he doesn't have the legitimate throne, he will either suicide, as he wanted to be killed after being defeated by Kung Jin in Story Mode, or recur to getting royalty back by all means, like the invasion in Story Mode because of lese majesté, or ask the Elder Gods in the Arcane Ending. Goro is not much different, at least in the comics, preferring to stay neutral until needed: except he loves to rub his fighting prowess to anyone who meets him, being a solid Chaotic Neutral, tethering the edges of Evil, just like the other tribes, which were faithful to Shao, so you know... Kitana, on the other hand, is becoming his father, torturing and kill because they like it and they can, the standard version being a what-if of how she would look like if she wasn't still a revenant (unless 11 changes that), being a Chaotic Evil, like Mileena (which is pretty much a wannabe) and Liu Kang (again, same story as Kitana). Kotal is only the *nicest* ruler... which doesn't mean much

Alain Smith In the story *[SPOILERS]*, he started as being neutral with Earthrealm. Later on, Jin manages to get Kotal to aid them in getting the amulet back from the rebels led by Mileena But after Cassie, Kung Jin, Takeda, and Jacqui got the amulet back from her, Kotal betrayed them because he felt that Earthrealm couldn't be trusted with it. Later on near the end in Chapter 11, Kotal said he would bring the protagonists to Shinnok to earn his trust so Kotal can have enough time to strengthen the defenses of Outworld. TL;DR He's evil.

Easily the dumbest part of the story. Kotal Kahn ripped off all Goro's arms by himself in a 1v1. He's easily one of the most skilled fighters in the roster. There's no reason he should've lost to Kung Jin
