Thank you for the video and guide! Much appreciated. I'm planning on making an Huergar mage of some sort. I will be joining a guild of course, but I have very limited play time, so most of my time in game is going to be solo/duo. Will probably focus on crafting until more playtime is available. That said, are there any setups you'd recommend to play solo as a Huergar mage? Not bothered if it's a full mage, mage/melee, mage/archer, mage/tamer etc, and I don't care if it's the "strongest" it just needs to work to some degree. I realize Sheevra or Human would probably be the way to go, but what can I say, I like playing dwarves in my fantasy games haha. Thank you!

skeletal sheevra mage here, Do not let people close. you see people start runing at you turn and sprint ( you are made of paper) they are not going to catch you. and purchase vendor daggers they will help in PvE and only take 10 str. 462 combat move [with raw dex trinkets] speed is nothing to laugh at (Trinkets) focus on max hp max mana pierce dmg % trinkets really helps. Good guide for new peeps John very nice explanations on the different styles.

What does it mean human is the best elementalist, but elf is the best dex mage? Isn't a dex mage also an elementalist?

Pretty great vid. I think you should have a google docs for terms you use because this might be a first timer's intro into how to play a mage. Like a kind of glossary

@@JohnOldman Thanks! Might do sheevra mage for solo but I have human Sarduccan already as hybrid so might as well try that. I didnt know most play best fit on human iv been using stout for most builds on human.
