i wanted to like this game when i bought it but the combat feels so weird, ive never been huge on directional blocks/swings. Still looks fun tho

It's hard to get used to but it makes combat very skill based. A naked Thursar with a starter sword can kill someone in steel if the skill gap is big enough. That's what I love about it. It's not about getting lucky gear drops or executing ability rotations, it's just mechanics and game sense. This game is like a perfect marriage of Mordhau, Overwatch, and Star Wars Galaxies.
