There are other things that are really good/fun with Fishbones and such. I just had a game where I had Fishbones, Sniper's Focus and Luden's Echo on Hero augment Vander, it was the most glorious game I have played this set, it was so much fun seeing Vander kick somebody and 80% of the board just disintegrating. I highly recommend giving hero Vander a try if you have Fishbones/RFC/Sniper's, it's glorious.

i don't think he plays for rank, he plays to try fun new comps and to show off different aspects of tft and to test the game against other players. if he played competitively he'd be much higher rank but he often chooses comps he know will lose just for entertainment or to learn more about the game or because those are just more fun to try out. but usually i see him in diamond or so.

it's common for every game dev, no matter who they are. even miyamoto gets stuff like that. i'm an indie game developer (a game released on steam, small audience, maybe 30,000 sales total) and even i get emails like those. though not quite as many of course.

to be fair, there are so many hidden mechanics that you just have to know about and that affect the skill. theres like no way to figure them out yourself unless you just do a bunch of math n track stats or whatever.

a secret though is that hidden mechanics are what makes games fun and have staying power, since you are learning new things about them all the time. hidden mechanics even in old games like the first zelda game from 40 years ago are still being discovered to this day.

this set is awesome but PLEASE change anomaly back to how it was where you can't see the same one twice. Honestly is less fun and just adds another RNG element to a game with many RNG elements already. I don't think a single person likes the anomaly change. At the very least not a single person I've talked to outside of the game or inside of the game like it and it is pretty much collectively agreed by the community that the change sucks and literally ruins the viability of some comps. Also nocturne with a ranged item is way too broken pls nerf it makes it to where any time anyone gets a +1 range item they automatically force nocturne.

I once played ranged nocturne with 6 automata and 4 dominators and somehow I managed to beat... fully itemized twitch 3. Well, to be honest, the rest of his board was meh compared to mine, but I didnt expect nocturne to have dmg on par with twitch 3.

I like the change. Makes you think about the anomalies offered and choose one that works with your comp instead of just turning your brain off and trying for the one that some guide recommends. the only times it "ruins the viability of some comps" is when there is some sort of broken interaction that overperforms other options. in that case too i LIKE that you can't force some broken interaction every game.

player error. saying it takes no skill when there is a lot of skill. you have to actually look at the anomaly offered and decide if it would be good for your comp. what ACTUALLY takes no skill is what that whiner wants. if someone's comp relies on a specific anomoly, it's a bad comp. it should always have a backup anomoly planned, a plan b, a plan c, etc., having a plan a and no other plan is just bad

Can't blame Mort for getting saltier over all this misdirected anger, but it's not fun to watch. You can argue what the problems are, but it is wrong to direct that towards any one person. On the other hand I understand where much of the anger for LoL/TFT is coming from. There is a balance between being a for profit business incorporating revenue streams, and a passionate game developer with a vision for a good/enjoyable game. Honestly seems like the culture at Riot has shifted too heavily towards the Profit side since the Tencent takeover (playing since Season 1 and 2013/2017 were the major years where Riot lost their passion and went far more Corporate in retrospect). Riot currently operating in the red, and still prioritizing macrotransactions. I remember when "retention mechanics" did not prey on the most vulnerable of society, but hey everything is FOMO now, also RIP 975rp skins, the mainstay priceline for years, we got $200+ ones now. Drive kids into a gambling addiction, and addicts into debt. (To the "It's just cosmetics" crowd, you do understand that Riot has multiple groups to structure pricing in ways to hook whales right? They brag about their "data-driven approach". Hint; the data shows whales spend more than everyone else combined, and whale is just another word for addict).

Can we stop treating society like snowflakes? If there is someone who is willing to spend thousands of dollar into a gacha system, its that person's fault, not the company. Nobody forces you to get the new Jinx skin or a new tactician. And we also have to take into consideration, that if a F2P game is meant to survive, they need to have something for the whales to spend money on. Im not willing to spend a dime, but then I dont complain if a company has a system that can profit from people with higher budget or needs.

@Haern-f3w children shouldn't be playing this game anyway, it's a competitive e-sports game. it's like blaming poker for kids spending money on it when poker was never intended for kids. i understand that some do, but some kids spend their lives trying to become chess grandmasters, and people don't seem to have a problem with that, even though that's even more abusive. it's a parent's job to monitor what games their kids are playing and prevent them from playing games not intended for kids. tft even has an 'ELO', modeled after the elo in chess. it's highly competitive, the goal is to rise in rank. it's not something anyone who can't yet drink or drive should be doing, they should be playing mario or zelda, not a competitive online game. what you are doing is similar to parents complaining that mortal kombat was too violent for kids in the 90s --- it's like, yeah it is, but it's not intended for kids, it's the parents fault if they aren't watching what games their kids play. not saying you have no good points, i do think riot has become more focused on money over the years (i was a player of league since beta testing, though i haven't played it in years and only play TFT now), but that's the fate of all successful games. everyone or any company who achieves success will gradually get more and more focused on making money. even indie games like minecraft arent' immune, it was bought by microsoft and then became focused on making money. any game or any company that's been around a long time and has a lot of players is going to get more focused on money over time, unfortunately. but league and tft were still never good games for kids to play. the first time i played league of legends i was 29, and i'm 46 now. i have a nephew and he would watch me playing league when he was like 12 and asked if he could play and i said no, it's not a game for kids.
