Hi everyone! It is time to visit the badger location where I put up the trail cameras and it is also time to start my photo project next to the live stream.
It is summer in Denmark, and I kind of feel I have too many things to do. Not only do I have my projects related to nature and wildlife photography, but I also have a lot of projects on my farm.
This time my dad and I are working in the garden so that I can grow my own vegetables and I am also trying to attract more wildlife to my garden by doing a bit of rewinding.
My intention with these vlogs is to give you an insight in my life as a professional wildlife photographer and all the things behind.
See you out there...

Hi there I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday:) So 3 things! 1. The video is uploaded in 4K so I hope it will be ready at some point in that resolution. 2. My channel is apparently under attack of some kind of spam, so just remember - I do not write you about a great prize or a giveaway - I am not that kind of nice guy;) 3. Thank you so much for every single one of your beautiful comment. It is so much more encouraging that you might think. I wish everyone a wonderful day. See you out there...

After watching your videos where you go into a hide? I ordered a great inexpensive one man hunting tent! Then I got the cloth and put up the tent out back on my home. Birds began landing on it and it was funny. 5 birds were walking around it in the rain. I can't wait til tomorrow when the sun comes out to enjoy taking pics in it. I also have to weigh down the ends because I have it on a wood deck facing the water one way and my huge dogwood tree in full bloom with another window...the other window faces my gazebo where hummingbirds fly into the Jasmine blooming now!

Dear Morten, I just can't express my gratitude for all the beautiful stories you share. This video brought me my best memories from childhood when I was spending the whole summer outside in a nature at the countryside at my grandparents place and watched the nature documentaries on TV. Now wildlife photography is my greatest passion and throughout the years you had a great impact on it. The ethics, the knowledge and the passion you gave and taught me are of great value to me. You are a true friend and my hero. Love, Mateusz 😊

Thank you for sharing-along with your spectacular successes-that even a great wildlife photographer can also miss a photo, and that is just an opportunity to learn and make a different plan. Your badger photos here were wonderful, but for me I also sometimes love my photos of great times with the wild ones, even if they are not perfect. It is always so good to be out there, and there is always something to see and memories to take home. And thank you for taking good care of your little piece of paradise. :)

Wow, what an inspiring video once again. Well done Morten! 👍🏻 The photos and videos of the badger are incredible! Probably they are not the best but that doesn’t matter. Your experience is the most important thing. You have to enjoy the encounter with this beautiful animals. A few days ago I was out in nature in the evening. I found a deer with two fawns. I wasn’t able to take any photos or videos because there were to many branches between me and the animals. I just enjoyed this beautiful encounter and I think that’s the most important thing in nature photography! Of cours it’s always nice to capture such an experience on a memory card but that’s not always possible. Keep up the good work, your videos are inspiring me every single time again to go out and shout new KZbin videos. Stay healthy and see you out there Greetings Max

We saw a squirrel on the livestream recently so they are definitely around ;) And you got such a nice photo of badger Belle :D Thank you for taking us along with you :) Would you mind telling when you filmed the marten in your barn? Hello Mr.Hilmer I hapened to have exact same photoblind(well,it's actually designed for hunters). I have it for years now and last october i set this up near Fox den(not really fox only.Everyone likes this den.Linx,Badgers,Racoons,Deers) This tent can handle all the storms and thick snow, cause it has anchor ring on the roof as well,so snow wont breake it. Just a tip for you.Theres way to leave microphone outside of tent with longer cable. So mic dosnt pick up noise but only whats hapening outside. You welcome.

Hi Jytte. This was filmed about two weeks ago, so I recon Milton has moved in on my roof! I know there is still a marten in the barn, because sometimes the swallows goes mental. It could also be that he has moved to a different place, because he hot pretty scared of Bjørn and of course of me when I chased him away. He must be full though because he emptied at least 5 nests.

@@MortenHilmer Thanks Morten 😊 We're all glad to know that Milton is still alive and well. I'm sorry for the swallow babies, but that is nature, and they must learn to build their nests well out of reach. Thank you for that great video. Our "balcony squirrel" Tarzan never managed to open the nut feeder or was too lazy. Preferred to hang head downwards from the bird feeder to get its share of nuts, peanuts and sunflower seeds at our balcony, walnuts and berries on the next, just strolled along the roof tops like a customer on a market place. Descendants still live here.

I'm from a farm myself, and I really like to see you around your farm. It's so cozy. I missed the time when you showed videos and photos from your little shet, so seeing that you now have a photo blind setup like this is something I really look forward to see more from. Regarding the problem with "killer slugs", you can probably minimize the issue by using coppertape around the wooden boxes. Killer slugs do not - for some reason - like to "walk" on copper.

So crazy how your Channel is so much more about you as a wildlife photographer than it is about wildlife photography. I get sucked right into it. Sure would be great to meet ya. Keep up the great work Morten. I always look forward to seeing the notification that you posted a vid!
