Ducks in Danish is "ænder" which also sounds like "n-er" (multiple Ns). His name is Mortenn with two Ns (in DK it's usually spelled with only 1 N), hence his joke is he is Morten with two Ns (Morten with two ducks in Danish).

That was a brilliant act, Dougal... I mean Mortenn. There was a slight awkwardness in the audience's response to you, and that was because, after watching your intro, they expected you to be a bit simple. And you weren't a bit simple. In fact you were a bit over their heads, humour wise. So they weren't quite sure how to take you, but they had almost caught up with you by the time you were finishing your act.

It's a pun so it doesn't translate well. In Danish, "ducks" in plural is the same as multiple N's (the letter). He has to N's in his name and carries two Ducks on stage. It's the same joke Penn unknowingly makes

It's not really even a joke.. It's a pun on his name that in fact only works in danish. In Denmark a duck is an "and". The plural of "and" in danish is said in exactly the same way as you would say "two N's" in danish. This is why when Penn talks about the two n's - Mortenn thinks it's hilarious. Which it in fact isn't at all.

They film based on logistics of the set, rather than what goes nicely together in an episode. So if the host changed dress on different days, it would mess up the continuity of each episode. Each episode is made up of acts that were actually performed on different days.
