My theory: Digit wanted to be the "Mortis God", but most of us think that he wasnt. (In Lex's videos, Digit always wanted to show him that he was the best Mortis player.) We were all unconvinced, and thought that he photoshoped the game to show that he could do trickshots. Digit was angry that we did not believe him, and in a rage, wanted to get mortis' hat to prove that he was the mortis god. Ryan was secretly acting as PatchyPirate the whole time, and in 1 of Lex's videos, Digit went on a 1v1 against PatchyPirate (who was secretly Ryan the whole time). When PatchyPirate lost (Ryan lost), he was angry, and at the same time wanted to get mortis' hat to be the mortis god. However, Digit got the hat first, so Ryan worked undercover as the brawl authorities (the brawl authorities were chasing digit for the hat), because Ryan wanted the hat, and they were fighting over it. That's why in the 911 call, we could hear "Ryan's voice", when they were fighting over the hat. Digit managed to escape in the end, only realising that the hat he stole was *NOT* Mortis' hat. Ryan actually made a second replica of Mortis' hat and made Digit believe that he had it. (Since Ryan is Supercell's employee.) So in the end, the authorities think that Digit has the hat, but Ryan is the real mastermind in the end. #FreeDigIt #Ryanstolethehat (This took me a long time to think of and write, I would appreciate it if you would give me a like🙄)

It's Crow! Mortis and crow are rival assasin's and crow was being bullied and at one point asked "why do you never take that hat off huh?" And then he said "It's home to my bats" and then left. Crow figured that mortis was scared to take it off because he had ugly, purple hair, so he dove in all "CACAW!" And took it at the cemetery. He then got tara (who is clearly a magician because of the tarot cards) to use an old magician hat to replace it. Then digit saw it and took it to give it to mortis but tripped and fell and was caught by the brawl-thoritys. So now crow is hiding in a bush (as usual) laughing at mortis's hair. I know this because I'm a smart boi.

CanYaDigIt’s Australian brother framed him. Not sure what the motive is, but CanYaDigIt said they were around the same age, so they could be twins. His brother said that CanYaDigIt definitely stole the hat because that sounds like something he would do, but CanYaDigIt said he barley knew his brother because they were separated at a young age, so how could he possibly be sure CanYaDigIt did it if they’re basically strangers.
