How about a tutorial on 'Boxed' M&T joints? I could really use one
@WoodByWrightHowTo Жыл бұрын
Are you talking about an M&T joint for making a box? in that case I would use finger joints.

@@WoodByWrightHowTo It's where the tenon is inserted into the mortise. The area around the mortise hole is relieved to hide the end of the tenon board. I've seen it used on fine furniture and woodworking. Paul Sellers showed a very short segment on his KZbin Channel. Bob C. Has also mentioned it. But know one has really showed how to do it. As your very good at joinery I thought you mite do a segment on it.

Oh. Sorry. I might have to do a video on that. I don't do them very often as they are incredibly difficult to get accurate and you often show off more gaps. Where is the standard tenon you can hide them underneath the shoulder. But it might be fun to play with

@@WoodByWrightHowTo Some KZbinrs seem to make them rapidly with out problems??? But the don't show the details. That's why I wrote to you, I know you can do it in a way I can follow. It seems to me the use of a router plane is pretty much the way to go. I'm designing an Officers campaign chest in the Greene and Greene style and this style makes much use of them.

What a great team you make! Really enjoyed this series, great practice. And to the file handle police:, if you can't figure out when and how to use a file without a handle (or when you need one), maybe pick an easier hobby (one that uses all squishy materials...)

I don't see it either. I think the uploader has the option of having it on or off.

@@WoodByWrightHowTo it was fun to read along the video sometimes, can you put it back in the future?

Unfortunately, no, that is up to google. I have no say in the matter.

@@WoodByWrightHowTo aw, poop knuckles. I suppose finding a way to put them as an optional cc is too much work...

26:26 For woodworking metric just makes it more complex that it needs to be. 12" is easily divided in half, three's, and four's without needing fractions. whereas the metric system can only be divided into 5 sections so neatly. It's almost as if someone created the foot system for that very reason. 🙄

Yeah, because 300mm is sooo incredibly hard to divide by two, three or four.
