The day before I played this concert, a big tragedy happened in Bogotá where a school bus with over 15 small children was involved in an accident and all the kids died. This was a very shocking case that affected the whole city. For me it was very hard to play this concert...

Thanks so much for recording this piece! It's really interesting -- a much more private-sounding piece than Gould usually writes -- part of which might be due to your wonderful commitment to making it speak. The first movement has more urgency to it than is typical with Gould, and the slow movement is much more introspective than he usually is. You're a wonderful champion for this music. Thanks for posting it.
