Maybe Revell made a good kit- I'm still a Tamiya purist in what I build and spend money on. Always well molded with great instructions to boot.

Morning MOS.. I actually like PDF instructions.. I can print off only what I need /and/ if something is too small I can zoom in for a better look. From a company point of view it's probably cheaper too, to make one PDF freely available than use gallons of ink and tons of paper printing off copies. I'd like more companies to do PDFs if only as an option. I like those silhouettes reminding you if the stage is for wheels up or down. Simple but effective. A very nice idea :) Pilot's disembodied head looks like an elephant's bonce *lol*

You didn't mention it Mos, but it's possible that might still be a test shot and the tooling may see some additional refinement before the final release. I used to build review samples for Moebius Models and it wasn't uncommon to see changes made at the last minute. Overall it looks pretty decent for the scale and price point, particularly that open bay detail.

Thanks Mos. Looks good. I have shyed away from F35 so far but maybe this is the one. Given this is a stealth aircraft, they (Lockheed Martin) should surely have really minimised panel gaps which are huge radar targets so maybe the engraved detail is a bit heavy but that's what filler is for (!). Is there a flight stand? Have you given any thought to or tryed to represent the gold colour on the canopies? I might have a go at this one when it comes out, stealth mode and Nederlands perhaps.

It looks like its been moulded by matchbox..details look woolly and soft. I think they need to do better in this day and age. However, depends on how price compares to the competition

We would rather spend the money on the Tamiya 1/72nd scale F-35B, the molding is a little bit um on that. The Airfix starter set is better

Not sure we need another f35 TBH. Typical Revell with really soft level of detail, not impressed for a 2024/5 new tool TBH, but I guess it will be cheap.. I hope..

Like the spitfire, i guess every manufacturer needs one.. this is a first run with china plastic, it might come tighter and with better plastic

And on that Disappointment, TBh the jet exhaust looks crap - softly moulded, the Canopy looks iffy - two piece why? Otherwise it looks very Airfix in the build...

The canopy looks OK; very much the same two-piece style as the Tamiya 1/48, making it easy to paint the frame prior to dropping the glazing on - shame the glazing wasn't tinted, but a bit of Tamiya 'smoke' will fix that! Yeah, the exhaust does look a little soft, but as this is a test-shot, it may get tightened up for general release.......! Typical Revell though in that even on the test-shot there's already flash!! 😁 I'm glad to see a pilot included, but do wonder why his helmet looks like the head of a fly...LOL!! 😂

Revell has been so hit-and-miss that I almost need to see a review like this before tossing away my hardly-earned fortune... Now, if we could get them to retool and reissue the P-3C Orion...it's way overdue.

Well, I think the pilot and.'head' looks very shoddy. Disgraceful really for a kit made these days... It looks like something you'd get in a kit from the 1950s... in fact the head looks like an alien from a 1950s Sci-Fi movie. The kit overall doesn't look like a 2025 release. A bit rudimentary. With the exception of the canopy - that looks super thin and clear! I am not a fan of the F35 - i think it is one of the ugliest aircraft ever made.😂

The exhaust is disappointing and the schemes are the usual. It would have been nice to see JASDF or Israeli scheme. Not sure we need another F-35 kit.
