sorry if you have answered this elsewhere but what is the mosaic material made of? is it ceramic? and do you do anything with the bits you break off or just throw them away? I've never seen anyone making a mosaic before so I'm really curious

I am using some ceramic pieces, some glass and some marble. Tiny cutoffs I won’t keep, but bigger pieces yes - I’ll explain a little more in the next part I think☺️

What kind of glue are you using? I did mosaic on our mail box last year, sadly it didn't survive trough the winter. Silicone clearly wasn't the right choice... 😅

I use tile adhesive, sorry about your mosaic!🥺

That is a bummer about your table. I hope you try it again.

How do you cut them into such perfect square pieces?
@lilamosaics4 күн бұрын
Many of the little squares come in this size already, for the rest I use my cutting tools

Why is it done on a piece of cardboard? Will it hold?
@lilamosaics25 күн бұрын
It’s a board that’s typically used under tiles in bathrooms (vådrumsplade, I don’t know the English), so it can tolerate water and it’s a solid base for doing mosaics on while still being lightweight☺️
