Once was a paradise.Lived in seventies and eighties in Candolim.Was a long stretch of beautiful sandy beach and palm trees and beautiful Portuguese houses. I have no desire to go to trendy cool hip Goa.

Candolim was my winter home in the 1980s.No sun beds or shades enforced by the police.Only about ten shacks on the beach and then only sand dunes to north and south.Happy to see it thriving but could not cope now.Can still remember bits of Konkani;dio borro radiu.

Angoda the water is not swimable due to large waves. The town is very beautiful so nice to visit for a day. Go to Palolem

From New Zealand a Goenkar originally from Colvale, will be there shortly "a tourist in my own hometown". I used to cycle all these areas in my youth, not a soul on Para lane in those days😂 I have photos with my friends and I at Souza Lobo with not a soul on Calangute beach.
