Maps & Atlases are an indie rock group from Chicago, Illinois USA, equally influenced by folk and experimental music. They have often been labeled as a math rock band though their music has developed a slightly more pop-oriented style over time.
The band has released two official EPs, one full length LP and played several festivals including SXSW and CMJ, as well as national tours with RX Bandits, These Arms Are Snakes, mewithoutYou, Foals, So Many Dynamos, Ra Ra Riot, Minus the Bear, Princeton, The Fall of Troy, Nurses, Pattern Is Movement, Good Old War, Portugal. The Man, Tera Melos, and more.

drummer is awesome. Such great technical pollyrhymic subtleties. he sounds bold but not overly ostentatious and overtly showy but at the same time doing what other most other drums cannot do he's excellent at finding complex grooves with math Rock let's face it math rock is not the easiest genre to play especially for drums but he is excellent at keeping the beat driving and rhythmic and still komplex with multiple time changes throughout single song great job
