She was a very very special individual., so young so beautiful and a big-time voice , oh my God was she special on the contrary Marvin Gaye was extraordinary doing this time and everything he touched turned to gold it is safe to say that Berry Gordy knew exactly what he was doing when he was putting the both of them together ( you need iron to sharpen iron) this is why these songs will live on forever. Marvin never recovered from the death of Tammi Terrell talk about being close to somebody they was close , Marvin pulled himself together and went on to do great things but it is safe to say he never fully recovered from the death of Tammi Terrell she almost died in his arms when she collapsed on stage Marvin was devastated.. There will never be another Tammi Terrell not to mention another Marvin Gaye , if you love music as much as I do you just have to thank God for the time they spent with us.. Music will never be the same because today's music is trashy corrupt and dangerously influential if you get the idea , Thanks Tammy Thank You Marvin for laying down these beautiful tracks...

Marvin and Tammy left us with so much goodness and joy. The beautiful sounds that we can remember that are eternal and deep in the heart. For those who can imagine how it was, when a few of us in the presence of God given icons, blessed us with heavenly sounds. With so much love that touch our soul, an abundance that belongs to each and everyone today and tomorrow.

Simply beautiful. You dont have to be in love to feel this love! Gone but never forgotten. Legends to centuries to come. Thank you
I was just a young girl in the late 60s but discovered Motown in the 80s and first became aware and a fan of Tammi Terrell. I am reading her sister's book on her life and It feels like being introduced to someone brand new. What a voice and what a short life. So many things in this life just seem unfair. We are fortunate to have had a few glimpses of who Tammi Terrell was on this Earth.

8 12 23 Tammi Terrell (born Thomasina Winifred Montgomery; April 29, 1945 - March 16, 1970) was an American singer-songwriter, widely known as a star singer for Motown Records during the 1960s, notably for a series of duets with singer Marvin Gaye. Marvin Pentz Gay Jr., known professionally as Marvin Gaye (April 2, 1939 - April 1, 1984),[2] was an American R&B and soul singer and songwriter. He helped to shape the sound of Motown in the 1960s, first as an in-house session player and later as a solo artist with a string of successes, earning him the nicknames "Prince of Motown" and "Prince of Soul". Yes they make a lovely couple and they singing beautiful Harmony but they were never lovers just really good friends.
