How does this compare to a westerman brush Scott?

For me this is loads better. The Westerman head is bigger so if the area is uneven it will leave patches and it runs too fast which goes through heads faster and doesn’t clean as well. The heads are also very expensive compared to my machine. I know a few users who don’t like the weatherman they bought but most go to it as they are cheap initially.

@@scottellwoodgardening287 I was interested in buying a Western man and hired one for the day to try it out I had 3 jobs booked in for it I wasn't happy with the finish at any of the jobs and didn't invoice any of the clients for the work I took it back to the place I got it from and told them I wasn't happy they still charged me for it. So I was down a days work (plus my helpers wage) and the hire cost Your comments feed right into my experience.

Good thanks mate hope you are too. I had a demo from kersten the downside was they were double the cost for the same machines. If they were more competitive they would sell loads more.

@@neilmoye588 it does block paving but not as good as power washing. It just removes the moss and dirt in the cracks. The heads are around £60 but I get old road sweeper heads for free which are compatible.

And it is much easier. £60 is not too bad for the heads. Cheaper than the westerman brushes. They are about £175. Thanks again. I think your channel is great!

I have a Stihl bristle brush which is a good machine for moving leaves etc but the stubborn stuff like moss would need killing first before brushing as it wouldn’t have the power mate.

Hi Scott, do you find this style of rotary brush does a better job than the cylinder style (kombi bristle etc)? I have an AS sweeper, a smaller version of your Nimos but not iverly impressed with it so looking to get something that actually works! I'm considering a Westermann but again, hear mixed things about it. I just want something that will clean moss, wet or dry, off tarmac. I'm a contractor like yourself 👍

Personally I can’t compare to other machines but this for me is better than other types I have seen on KZbin. A friend has a westermann which uses heads faster than this machine too. I have used the stihl combi bristle brush but they don’t clean as well. Overton uk do demonstrations so it may be worth getting them out first to try it.

The leaves were always in the contract. The cleaning was an up sell once I bought the machine.

Appreciate this is quite an old video in terms of comments but would anybody know the approx price of one of these machines please in 2022 ?? Lots of similar machines to the NIMOS available in Netherlands and Belgium but no UK importers. Not sure if Kersten still going but these seem geared at Councils. Appreciate the Westermann is being imported to UK but not sure what to make of it to be frank...

Hi Mike, Kersten are still going but are very expensive. These machines are made by Overton UK. I would think they would be £2500-3000 nowadays but may be worth enquiring via Overton uk website. Westermann are popular I have a friend who has one. Their heads don’t last as long as the nimos though.
