Sir any specific reason u used lava rocks for ? In ur earlier videos u used gravels can they be used as well? Also sir what do fern survive on ? No substrate used besides pine bark so asked thankyou
@TheUrbanNemophilist3 жыл бұрын
Lava rocks are porous. They can hold water as well as good bacteria. It’s just a Mossarium so no other substrate is needed beside sphagnum moss layer. The fern I added was growing in this moss. Lets see if it grows in there. Usually ferns can grow in cracks of rocks as well without any substrate in the presence of good humidity in the air.

Which means bricks can also be used sir as a substitute in case we don’t have lava rocks ?
@TheUrbanNemophilist3 жыл бұрын
@@devikadesai8862 yes but they might soil the glass walls which could be aesthetically displeasing.

💚 💚d ur evergreen art. Can u pls tell about preserved moss too.,also its availability in India. I am from Kerala
@TheUrbanNemophilist2 жыл бұрын
Thanks.I work with only live moss. You will not get good preserved moss in India I think. Most of the ones I have seen here are lichen and not even moss. You can try Etsy stores for good quality preserved moss.

Hi,how often do you spray water in it.
@TheUrbanNemophilist3 жыл бұрын
A terrarium will not need any watering after the initial setup. However I do keep a watch for moisture levels for the first 4 weeks until the rain cycle sets in .

Where do you buy moss from?
@TheUrbanNemophilist3 жыл бұрын
Mostly depend on ethical sourcing from the forest. I also buy from local aquascaping stores when available. I also pick up from the pavement or from the planters in the garden.
