I’d refinish it. It’ll make you happy. At the end of the day you’re the one that’s going to enjoy it.

I’ve watched several of your videos and you are good at restoration. I’d say if you’re planing on keeping it then go for it. Worse case you decide to sell it in the future you should at least get your money back. If you’re trying to turn a profit then just find the missing pieces and leave it at that. Awesome piece.

We have one that has the tray that sits inside with all the tools and the Mossberg symbol on the sides our box has the front handle and the wood has not been refinished we didn't know what it was until we saw your video

That’s awesome! I love how KZbin helps people figure out what they have, and helps create an appreciation for these neat old tools.

I have a set I think is a no.14 , I'm missing the L bar and I think a few sockets as I have some sockets that are the same size (multiple). I so far have used metal Rescue and it clean the rust and gunk off really well. I still need to blow out the wooden box I think some of the dirt and dust is 50 or 60 years old . I can try to post it on my channel . Dale Nickel

These are neat old sets. Since I got into Mossberg I’ve started noticing the loose sockets regularly at swap meets and junk sales.
