The way I maintain wheel alignment when changing rod ends is simply to count the number of turns you had to make to remove the old one, then do the same number when screwing the new one on. I've also never used a pickle fork, precisely because they tend to destroy things. Shocking the ball-joint loose with a hammer is far less harmful (unless you miss).

I don't use a pickle fork, usually my fingers unless, of course the pickles are right at the bottom of the jar. Unfortunately most tie rod removal tools use brute force and I have had mixed results to say the least in using them. Hitting the ball joint loose with the hammer is my favourite method.

I was watching your side draft carburetor video very much in detail very professionally done I wish you would have been a little bit closer I had a side draft carburetor engine click click click click it would run high RPMs click click click click and then settle down it'll run high RPMs click click click click the Pistons with smacking smacking smack and then settle down what was this why was this my experience with the mg especially this midget you have to go to a special mechanic who charges for x The Rake rate rate 4 * 400% what was the cause of this wrench man 55 at yahoo.com
