Great video! We've stayed at Maitai once and it is a good value for the money overall. On our latest two visits (December/January and July), we stayed at an over the water bungalow at the Le Bora Bora and fell in love with it as it's still more affordable than Four Seasons, St. Regis, etc., but offers a very similar experience.

Totally agree! When we go back, we are keen to stay again at Le Moana because of the same reasons :)

stayed there in 2006. We liked the garden view room best since they were way up high and you could see over all the water. If we ever go back, we will stay there instead of the over water bungalows.

Tough question! Each has its own vibe ;) Maldives felt like the top Luxury options, with so many hotels to choose from, but Bora Bora felt like more of a cultural experience on top of the luxury. We would go back to either one in a heartbeat!
