Most Americans ‘reacting in horror’ but many ‘not shocked’ by Trump assassination attempt

Sky News contributor Kristin Tate says most Americans are “reacting in horror” to the assassination attempt of Donald Trump however not many are shocked by it.
“Nobody should be shocked by this assassination attempt because left-wing leaders, including the President, have regularly told their constituents that Trump - and his supporters, by the way - are xenophobic, white nationalist Nazis,” Ms Tate told Sky News Australia host Paul Murray on Sunday evening.
“I mean Biden, Kamala Harris, the Obamas, regularly imply or straight out say that Trump is a racist as though it is a given fact.”

A observation if I may from an outsider (Australia). Now the shooter was wearing tan or desert camo while on the roof. Some of the security personnel were also wearing tan or camo uniforms. Do you think the Secret Service and Police were watching the shooter wondering if he was one of theirs in mistaken identity confusion ? Add to that the local police who DID go up onto the roof or near the roof to investigate backed off when rifle was pointed at them (by shooter) allowing shooter time to gain seconds to fire - therefore the Secret Service snipers then knew straight away it was not 1 of theirs and fired and killed shooter as trained to do when target identification is CLEAR. The confusion to me was the police not responding to the crowd pointing out suspicious shooter beforehand AND shooter wearing same colour clothes and types as them. However I will eat my words and apologise if my observations are wrong.
