Gathje's Debut was crazy. His First ever Fight in the UFC was a MAIN EVENT and was awarded FIGHT OF THE NIGHT, PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT & later 2017 FIGHT OF THE YEAR. That's a record no one could take away from him.

So Anderson Silva fought a male Juliana Pena. It's not hard to imagine that Jon and Anderson fought and succeeded in the era where the fighters weren't as skilled as they are today. There only good a handful of great fighters in that era. Hardly anyone tactical though. The performances that fighters give at 135lbs - 170lbs is the best MMA that we see. MW is okay. LWH and HW suck at present. Talking about UFC here.
