olaatoke OLA Apart from those marching.....The band sounded more like a church revival band and not military band.

@@seniowoajetv9246 😀Well, most of their songs are derived from church hymns or choruses, maybe bcos of the origin of brigade. In all, it was a very good performance with accuracy. I give it to them 100% and I sincerely hope it will signify a good new dawn in our darling country.

@@olaatokeola567 I quite understand many of them may have come from Boys Brigade background, but this is our National Army band ....I believe they should be playing from more serious military repertoires.....When I was in the boys brigade (24th Lagos Company)..we hardly play stuff like this. As far as I can remenber non of the armed forces band use to play like this, the standard was far far better. It seem many of the Nigerian Armed forces musicians can't sight read music this has reduced the standard tremendeously. Please watch this clip Played by British Army and compare. facebook.com/ArmyInLondon/videos/419378732248248/

@@seniowoajetv9246 I have watched it. Very beautiful performance too. Maybe those close to the military band can call their attention to it. But it has been their tradirion. They only play few folksongs and our traditional lyrics. Maybe they didn’t see it as some pple perceive it. There is always room for improvement
