Kotdwara is gateway of Garhwal but over the years it has not got the priority it deserves. Hundreds of villages beyond Kotdwara facing discrimination and neglect in terms of connectivity and basic infrastructure. Highway stretch between Kotdwara to Najibabad and Meerapur to Bijnor is full of potholes and deep ditches. Construction of N H 119 is not progressing even at snail’s pace.
